Usage
- Placement: Place the solar panel in a location that receives maximum sunlight. Adjust the panel's angle to optimize the capture of solar rays.
- The panel must be exposed to direct sunlight. Avoid any obstructions like buildings or trees.
- Positioning the solar panel at a 30-60 degree angle from a flat surface will maximize solar energy capture.
- If the panel must lie flat on another surface, avoid damp or irregular surfaces, as they may cause slight distortion over time.
- Choose the hours with the most sunlight during the day (9:00 AM to 5:00 PM). Panels operate at peak efficiency when the sun is most direct, typically around noon (12:00 PM - 1:00 PM).
- Connecting to Laptops/Solar Generators: Solar panels generate electricity when exposed to sunlight. Protect the device from direct sunlight before connecting.
- Connect one end of the cable to the device's input port, and the other end to the solar panel's output port.
- Check for a charging indicator on your laptop. If it's not visible, reconnect the cable or try a different charging cable.
- Once the charging indicator appears, you can place the device in a cool location for better heat dissipation. Turn off the device to avoid energy loss during operation, especially for laptops.
- Connecting Multiple Solar Modules: This device is also designed for charging 12V/24V lead-acid batteries, including lithium batteries, and other devices. Pair the charger with a solar charge controller to protect the battery system from overcharging. You can connect more solar panels using MC4 Y-connectors to achieve different output parameters: voltages are summed when panels are connected in series, and currents are summed when panels are connected in parallel.
MC4 Connectors and Connections
To avoid mismatch effects, connect only solar panels of similar electrical power in the same string.
How to Make Series or Parallel Connections
The solar panel is equipped with two twisted MC4 output cables suitable for PV installation. The cable gauge is 1x 4 mm². The positive connector is male, and the negative connector is female. The included cables are designed for series connections, but they can be adapted for parallel connections using an additional MC4 Y-splitter.
MC4 Connectors
Description of MC4 Connectors: These are standard, weather-resistant connectors used in solar installations, featuring male and female ends for secure electrical connections.
MC4 Y-Splitters
Description of MC4 Y-Splitters: These splitters allow for the parallel connection of multiple solar panels, enabling the summation of current.
Diagrams of Connections

- Parallel Connected Panels: Visual representation showing panels connected side-by-side, where positive terminals are connected together, and negative terminals are connected together.
MC4 Connector Care and Safety
- Keep connectors dry and clean. Ensure the connector caps are hand-tightened before connecting the panel.
- Do not attempt to make electrical connections with wet, dirty, or otherwise damaged connectors.
- To ensure connector durability, avoid exposing them to direct sunlight, submersion in water, or placing them on the ground or roof.
- Faulty connections can cause electric shock. Check all electrical connections at least every 6 months. Ensure all locking connectors are fully seated and locked.
Heat Tips
- Do not attempt to modify the internal printed circuit board within the junction box unless you are a professional technician. ALLPOWERS is not responsible for the results of such actions.
- The solar charger has internal backflow prevention, so no reverse flow phenomenon will occur.
Maintenance
- The solar panel is primarily for emergency charging. Long-term exposure to external factors is not recommended as it may shorten the product's lifespan.
- The solar panel is not flexible; handle it with care. Avoid impacts from sharp objects or strong blows.
- If the solar panel must lie flat on another surface, avoid damp or irregular surfaces, as they may lead to slight distortion over time.
- It is normal for solar panels to heat up during operation. Store them in their packaging after they have cooled down.
- Over time, dirt and dust may accumulate on the product's surface, potentially causing a general decrease in output power. Periodic cleaning of the panel with a mild, non-abrasive cleaner is recommended.
Environmental Protection
Used electronic equipment marked according to the European Union directive cannot be disposed of with other municipal waste. It is subject to selective collection and recycling at designated points. By ensuring its proper disposal, you prevent potential negative consequences for the natural environment and human health. The waste collection system complies with locally applicable environmental protection regulations for waste disposal. Detailed information on this matter can be obtained from the municipal office, the waste treatment facility, or the store where the product was purchased.
The product complies with the requirements of the so-called New Approach Directives of the European Union (EU) concerning safety of use, health protection, and environmental protection, specifying hazards that should be detected and eliminated.
