Placement Guidelines
Proper placement is crucial for accuracy. Both the display unit and outdoor sensor need careful positioning.
Display Unit Placement:
Place the display unit in a dry area, free of dirt and dust. It can be used upright on a tabletop.
Outdoor Sensor Placement:
The sensor must be placed outdoors. It is water-resistant but should be protected from direct weather elements to extend its life. Hang it using the integrated hanger or string from a sheltered location (e.g., a covered tree branch). The ideal location is 4 to 8 feet above ground, in permanent shade with good air circulation.
Important Placement Guidelines:
- Place units out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources or vents for accurate temperature readings.
- Ensure the display unit and outdoor sensor are within 330 ft (100 m) of each other.
- Maximize wireless range by placing units away from large metallic items, thick walls, or metal surfaces.
- To prevent wireless interference, keep both units at least 3 ft (0.9 m) away from electronic devices like TVs, computers, microwaves, and radios.
Using the Weather Station
Learning Mode:
Self-Calibrating Forecasting analyzes pressure changes over approximately 14 days to determine your altitude. The Learning Mode icon disappears upon completion. After this period, the pressure is tuned to your location for superior weather prediction.

Troubleshooting
No Outdoor Sensor Reception / Display Screen Not Working / Outdoor Temperature Flashing or Showing Dashes:
- Signal Strength: Ensure units are within 330 ft (100 m) and away from interference sources (TVs, microwaves, computers) by at least 3 ft (0.9 m).
- Batteries: Use standard alkaline or lithium batteries (lithium for cold temps). Do not use heavy-duty or rechargeable batteries. It may take up to 20 minutes for synchronization after battery replacement.
- Installation: Check battery installation and polarity. Batteries may need replacement.
- Reset: Press the [RESET Button] on the back of the display unit. Date and time will need to be re-entered.
- Synchronization Issue: If outdoor temperature is flashing, bring both units indoors, remove one battery from each, ensure A-B-C switches match, reinstall batteries, and let them sit close together for 20 minutes.
Inaccurate Forecast:
- Forecasts predict conditions for the next 12-24 hours, not current conditions.
- Ensure the Learning Mode icon has disappeared. Forecasts are most accurate after Learning Mode completes (up to 14 days). Allow up to 33 days for full calibration. Battery removal or reset restarts Learning Mode.
Inaccurate Temperature or Humidity:
- Ensure units are placed out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources/vents.
- Keep units away from moisture sources.
