Electrical Information

The homelabs nameplate on the rear panel contains electrical and technical data. Ensure proper grounding to minimize shock and fire hazards. Use a properly grounded wall socket. If your socket is not adequately grounded, consult a qualified electrician. Do not use extension cords or adapter plugs. Do not remove any prong from the power cord.

Before contacting homelabs customer service, review this list for common issues.

PROBLEM CAUSE
Dehumidifier does not start
  • Ensure the dehumidifier's plug is fully inserted into the outlet.
  • Check the house fuse or circuit breaker.
  • The dehumidifier has reached its preset humidity level or the bucket is full.
  • The bucket is not in the proper position.
Dehumidifier does not dry the air effectively
  • Allow sufficient time for moisture removal.
  • Ensure no curtains, blinds, or furniture are blocking the front or back of the dehumidifier.
  • The humidity selector may not be set low enough.
  • Check that all doors, windows, and other openings are securely closed.
  • Room temperature is too low (below 41°F / 5°C).
  • There is a kerosene heater or another source emitting water vapor in the room.
The dehumidifier makes a loud noise when operating
  • The air filter is clogged.
  • The dehumidifier is tilted instead of being upright.
  • The floor surface is not level.
Frost appears on the coils This is normal; the dehumidifier has an Auto Defrost feature.
Water on floor
  • The hose connection may be loose.
  • The back drain plug was removed when intending to use the bucket to collect water.

If the dehumidifier operates abnormally or does not operate, and the solutions above are not helpful, please contact homelabs Customer Service at 1-800-898-3002.

Warranty

homelabs offers a limited two-year warranty on products purchased new and unused from homelabs Technologies, LLC or an authorized reseller, with an original proof of purchase. The warranty covers defects arising from faulty manufacture, parts, or workmanship during the warranty period.
