Operation
Placement
- Ensure the unit is upright for at least 24 hours before initial use, especially if it may have been tilted during shipping.
- The dehumidifier is designed for an operating environment between 41°F (5°C) and 95°F (35°C).
- When using casters, do not force movement over carpet or move the unit with water in the bucket to prevent tipping and spilling.
- Maintain adequate clearance: at least 7.9 inches (20 cm) on the sides and rear, and 15.75 inches (40 cm) in the front for proper airflow.
Smart Functions
- Auto Shut Off: The unit automatically turns off when the water bucket is full or the desired humidity level is reached.
- Wait 3 minutes before resuming operation: To prevent damage, the compressor will not restart immediately after a cycle; it will automatically resume after a 3-minute delay.
- Auto Defrost: If frost builds up on the evaporator coils, the compressor will cycle off, and the fan will continue to run until the frost disappears.
- Auto-Restart: If power is interrupted, the dehumidifier will automatically restart with its previous settings once power is restored.
Control Panel
- POWER Button (⏻): Turns the dehumidifier on and off.
- FILTER Button: The Filter light illuminates after 250 hours of operation as a reminder to clean the air filter. Press the button after cleaning to reset the indicator.
- COMFORT Button: Activates a preset comfortable humidity level. Manual humidity adjustment is disabled in this mode. The target humidity is automatically set based on ambient temperature: 55% RH below 65°F, 50% RH between 65-77°F, and 45% RH above 77°F.
- CONTINUOUS Button: Activates continuous dehumidifying mode. When active, the LEFT/RIGHT buttons are disabled.
- TURBO Button: Controls the fan speed. Select High for maximum moisture removal or Normal for quieter operation.
- LEFT/RIGHT Buttons (< >): Used to set the desired humidity level in 5% increments, from 35% RH to 85% RH. These buttons are only functional when CONTINUOUS MODE is turned off.
- TIMER Button (?): Initiates the Auto Start and Auto Stop features. Press the Timer button when the unit is ON to set Auto Stop (Timer Off light illuminates), or press again to set Auto Start (Timer On light illuminates). Press the Timer button when the unit is OFF to set Auto Start (Timer On light illuminates), or press again to set Auto Stop (Timer Off light illuminates). Use the LEFT/RIGHT buttons to adjust the timer duration in 0.5-hour increments up to 10 hours, then in 1-hour increments up to 24 hours. The control will count down the remaining time. Timer settings register after 5 seconds. Both TIMER ON and OFF lights illuminating indicate both functions are programmed. Setting the timer to 0.0 or turning the unit off/on cancels the Auto Start/Stop function.
- Indicator Lights: Timer ON, Timer OFF, FULL (indicates the water tank is full and needs emptying).
- LED Display: Shows the set humidity level (35-85%) or timer setting (0-24 hours) during adjustment. It then displays the actual room humidity level (30-90% RH with ±5% accuracy).
Error and Protection Codes
- Error Codes: AS (Humidity sensor error), ES (Temperature sensor error), E3 (Dehumidifier malfunction).
- Protection Codes: P2 (Bucket is full or not in the correct position). Empty the bucket or ensure it is properly seated.
Removing Collected Water
- 1. Use the bucket: Remove and empty the bucket when it is full. Note: Do not use this method when the outdoor temperature is 32°F (0°C) or below, as water may freeze and block the unit.
- 2. Continuous draining: Attach a water hose (with a female threaded end, if applicable) to the drain hose outlet. Ensure a tight connection. Route the hose downhill to a floor drain or suitable drainage facility. Remove the hose when the continuous drain feature is not in use.
