Torque Settings
Before starting, check the type plate to determine the correct sketch for torque settings.
- 1. M12x30 (10.9): E: 75 Nm, P: 75 Nm
- 2. M12x40 (10.9): E: 120 Nm, P: 105 Nm
- 3. M12x70 (10.9): E: 120 Nm, P: 105 Nm
Note: E = End of thread, P = Pre-tightening.
Installation Steps
Refer to the diagrams for detailed visual guidance.
- Remove Rear Light Units: If necessary, remove the rear light units (See Fig. 1 & 2).
- Remove Bumper: Remove the bumper, including the bumper bracket and buffer beam. The buffer beam is no longer needed (See Fig. 1 & 2).
- Fit Side Plates: Attach side plate A to points B and side plate C to points D, hand-tight.
- Fit Cross Beam: Position the cross beam E between supports A and C at points F and G, finger-tight.
- Tighten Fasteners: Tighten all nuts and bolts to the specified torque values.
- Cutout Section: Cut out the indicated section of the bumper as shown in Fig. 3, 4, and 5. Dimensions for cutout vary by vehicle model (Volvo: 60x85mm, Zeekr: 60x85mm, Smart: 60x140mm).
- Reassemble: Reinstall any parts removed in steps 1 and 2.
- Fit Ball Hitch: Mount the ball hitch H, including the socket plate I, at points J.
- Final Tightening: Tighten all nuts and bolts to the specified torque values.

Important Notes
- Consult your dealer for any necessary vehicle modifications.
- Remove any bitumen or anti-vibration material from the contact areas.
- Consult your dealer for the vehicle's maximum towing weight and ball load capacity.
- When drilling, be careful not to damage electrical, brake, or fuel lines.
- Keep the towball clean and lubricate it regularly.
- Register the towbar at a diagnostic station.
- After 1000 km, re-tighten all screwed connections.
