Connecting to Voice Assistants
How to Connect to Alexa?
Works with Alexa
Name and Control Each Device by Voice.
Follow these steps:
- Ensure your phone is connected to Alexa.
- Open the Alexa app and go to Configure.
- Add the Permanent Outdoor Lights to your Alexa account.
- Alexa will discover your new light.
- Once found, you can assign it to a room and start controlling it via voice commands.
Example Alexa Commands:
- "Alexa, turn on Permanent Outdoor Lights."
- "Alexa, turn off Permanent Outdoor Lights."

How to Connect to Google Home?
Works with Google
Name and Control Each Device by Voice.
Follow these steps:
- Ensure your "Smart Life" app is signed in with your Google account and connected to Permanent Outdoor Lights.
- Open your "Google Home" app.
- Navigate to the "Devices" interface.
- Add the lights by following the step-by-step instructions shown in the app.

- "Hey Google, turn on Permanent Outdoor Lights."
- "Hey Google, turn off Permanent Outdoor Lights."

Installation and Setup
Download and Install the App:
Search for "Smart Life" or "Tuya Smart" in your device's app store. Download and install the application. You can also download it by scanning the provided QR code. (Note: QR codes are excluded from this HTML output).
Adding a Device:
- Turn on the light. The default state is pending pairing.
- Open the App and click the "+" sign in the upper right corner of the main interface.
- Ensure your Bluetooth is on and your Wi-Fi signal is 2.4GHz (5GHz is not supported).
- Click the device icon to add the device.
- Enter your Wi-Fi password, click "Next", and follow the on-screen steps to connect.
Resetting the Device:
The device can be reset in two ways:
- Remote Control Reset: Long press the remote control reset button for 5 seconds.
- Controller Reset: Press the controller reset button 5 times continuously.
- Alternatively, cycle the power supply three times (open-close-open-close-open). Then, press and hold the power button on the remote for more than 5 seconds until the device light begins to blink, indicating it has entered pairing mode.
Installation Notes:
- To prevent the light string from falling, ensure it is installed with both adhesive tape and clips.
- Tighten the waterproof cap before using the light.
- This light is waterproof and suitable for outdoor use but is not recommended for use when immersed in water.
- This product supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi connection only.
- Do not allow children to assemble and install this product.
- Avoid installing this product near major heat sources or other dangerous sources.

Controlling the Lights
After successful connection, the paired device will appear on the main interface. Tap to enter the control interface.
Quick Operations: Supported when the device is online.
Offline Status: If "offline" is displayed, the device cannot be operated. Check if the device is powered on.
Customization:
- ALL Single Toggle: Customize colors for each LED to create endless color combinations, modes, and effects.
- Dynamic Modes: Select from pre-set dynamic effects or create your own "DIY" effects.
- To create a custom scene, click "Add+" in the top right corner.
- You can adjust colors, speed, and effects. Save your custom scenes to the scene interface.
Sync to Music Function:
Enter music mode and play music from any device. The LED string light will sync with the music. For better results, use Bluetooth audio or local mode, as mobile phone volume can be low.
Timing Settings:
Set schedules for the light string to turn on or off according to your requirements.

FAQs
- Failure to connect to the Wi-Fi network:
- Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz (5GHz is not supported).
- Verify that the Wi-Fi name and password are correct.
- Move the device closer to the router for a stronger signal.
- The application does not work properly:
- Close all background apps and reopen the "Smart Life" app.
- Uninstall and reinstall the "Smart Life" app, then repeat the setup steps.
- The smart lights cannot connect to the application:
- Make sure the lights are powered on.
- Reset the lights using the methods described in the setup section.
