Need Help?

Activating the Key Fob

To activate the key fob:

  1. Slide the back cover off.
  2. Pull out the protective strip to engage the battery and activate the Key Fob.

IMPORTANT: Make sure to replace the key ring once you have finished setting up the Key Fob.

Pairing the Key Fob

  1. From the Smart Home web portal, navigate to My Settings > Key Fobs > add device. The System Setup screen will display, and your Smart DVR/Hub will automatically enter pairing mode.
Note: You can skip this step if the System Setup screen is already displayed (e.g., during Smart DVR/Hub registration or setup of other smart home accessories).
  2. Press the Connect button on the Key Fob. The status LED will blink once. Upon successful pairing with your Smart DVR/Hub, the status LED will blink twice.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup process.

How it works?

The Key Fob functions as a remote control for your Smart Home system, providing a quick and convenient method to activate specific security modes when you are staying, leaving, or arriving home.

Arming your system with the Key Fob

Double-press the Away or Night button to arm your Smart Home system in Away or Night mode, respectively. The LED will confirm this action by blinking green then red twice for Night mode, or thrice for Away mode. An entry/exit delay period is included, allowing you to enter, leave, or move freely within the premises before the system becomes fully active. The default entry/exit delay is 20 seconds. This delay can be configured via the Smart Home web portal under My Settings > Smart Hub.

Disarming your system with the Key Fob

Double-press the Home button to disarm your Smart Home system. The LED will blink green then red as confirmation.

Tip: If you have a Smart Home Siren accessory connected, you can use the Key Fob to immediately turn off the alarm by double-pressing the Home button.

Troubleshooting

The Key Fob is not pairing with my Smart DVR/Hub

To resolve this, reset the Key Fob by pressing and holding the Connect button until the status LED blinks rapidly. Then, attempt to pair the Key Fob again.

The Key Fob is not working. The Status LED does not light up when I double-press any of the Home, Away or Night buttons

This typically indicates the Key Fob is running low on battery power. Replace the battery immediately with one fresh "CR2032" lithium battery.
