Installation

Before You Start: Disconnect the negative battery terminal. Consult a qualified technician for instructions. Avoid installing the unit where it would be subject to high temperatures, dust, dirt, or excessive vibration.

Installation Guide:

• Trim Ring: Instructions on how to attach and remove the trim ring, including removing and re-inserting the volume control knob.
• Wiring Diagram: Shows inputs and outputs including Preamp Outputs (Front L/R, Rear L/R, SUB-OUT1, SUB-OUT2), Audio Inputs (Left/Right), MIC Input, Camera Inputs (Front/Rear), USB/Charging, Radio Antenna, and Video Input.
• Fuse: The unit uses one 15 amp ATC mini-style fuse. Ensure correct type and amperage when replacing.

Tuner Operation

Controls include Main Menu, Dimmer, Local/Distance, Seek Tune Up/Down, Preset Stations, EQ, and Settings.

Displays frequency (e.g., 98.1 MHz), AM/FM band, and preset station indicators.

USB Operation

From the main menu, touch the USB icon.

Controls include Main Menu, Repeat, Random, List, ID3 Tag Display Area, Track Down, Play/Pause, and Track Up.

Displays current mode, track information, and album art.

Adjusting Front and Rear Camera Screen Image

In the Settings menu, navigate to the Camera section to reverse the image of the front or rear camera if it appears reversed on the display. Toggle 'Rear Camera View Reverse' or 'Front Camera View Reverse' to correct the viewing angle.

Wired & Wireless Apple CarPlay Operation

Wired Connection: Connect a compatible device via USB and press the Apple CarPlay icon.

Wireless Connection: Turn on Bluetooth/Wifi on your phone. Press the icon on the main menu, confirm wireless CarPlay, search for the device, pair it, and confirm connection prompts on both the unit and the iPhone.

Wired & Wireless Android Auto™™ Operation

Wired Connection: Connect an Android Auto compatible device via USB and press the Android Auto icon.

Wireless Connection: Turn on Bluetooth/Wifi on your Android device. Press the icon on the main menu, confirm wireless Android Auto, search for the device, pair it, and confirm connection prompts on both the unit and the Android device.

Audio Operation

In the Settings menu, select Balance/Fader, EQ Presets, 10-Band EQ Settings, or Surround Settings.

Options include Balance, Fader, EQ Presets, and detailed EQ adjustments.

Screen Operation

In the Settings menu, access Brightness, Contrast, Button Illumination Colors, and Wallpaper Settings.

Settings include Day/Night Brightness, Button Light Animation, Button Light Color, and Wallpaper selection.

Bluetooth Operation

Pairing a New Device: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your device. The unit broadcasts a pairing signal. Refer to your device's manual. The device name is 'CAR7TC'.

Connecting: The head unit can automatically connect to the last connected device if set to 'Auto connect On'. If 'Auto Connect Off', manual connection is required.

Bluetooth Phone: Access phone functions from the main menu. Make calls using the keypad, answer/end calls, and transfer audio between the head unit and phone.

Streaming Audio: Play, pause, skip to previous/next track.

General Operation

In the Settings menu, access Time Zone, Date and Time, Beep Tone, Daylight Saving Time, Time Sync, Factory Reset, and other radio settings.

Options include setting time zone, date, time, enabling/disabling beep tones, and managing daylight saving time.

Limited Three Year* Warranty

This warranty provides specific legal rights that may vary by state. Jensen warrants this product to the original purchaser to be free from defects in material and workmanship for three years from the original purchase date.

What is covered: Defects in material and workmanship.

What is not covered: Software, installation/removal costs, damage from accident, misuse, abuse, neglect, modification, improper installation, incorrect voltage, unauthorized repair, or damage during return shipment.

Warranty Coverage: Limited 3-year warranty (proof of purchase required). Extend to 5 years when installed by the selling dealer and registered online at www.jensenmobile.com.

What to do: Check troubleshooting guides first. Pack the product carefully and ship it with a copy of the original receipt to an authorized service center. Include a written description of the problem, your name, return UPS shipping address, and daytime phone number.

This equipment has been tested and found to comply with Class B digital device limits, designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in residential installations. If interference occurs, try reorienting the antenna, increasing separation, connecting to a different circuit, or consulting a dealer/technician.
