AudioCodes C435HD IP Phone for Microsoft Teams Quick Guide
1. Before Installing
Congratulations on purchasing your AudioCodes C435HD for Microsoft Teams IP Phone!
Before installing your phone, make sure the following items are included in the shipped box:
- ✔️ C435HD IP Phone
- AC power adapter (optional)
- Cat 5e Ethernet cable
- Handset
- Handset cord
- Desktop stand
- Wall mount
2. Physical Description
The AudioCodes C435HD IP Phone features a modern design with various controls and a screen.
Key Controls and Features:
- Navigation Control: Used for navigating menus and options (Up, Down, Left, Right, OK buttons).
- Back Key: Returns to the previous screen or option [back arrow].
- Volume Keys: Adjusts the ringer or call volume [volume up/down].
- Mute Key: Mutes or unmutes the microphone during a call [mute symbol].
- Headset Key: Activates/deactivates headset mode [headset symbol].
- Speakerphone Key: Activates/deactivates speakerphone mode [speaker symbol].
- Alphanumerical Keypad: Standard dial pad for numbers and letters.
- Screen: Displays call information, menus, and status.
- Soft Keys below Screen: MENU, VOICEMAIL, CONTACTS, Teams [Teams icon], TRANSFER, HOLD.
- Microphone: Located at the bottom of the phone ?.
The phone includes a handset connected via a coiled cord.
3. Cabling the Phone
⚠️ Warning: Prior to connecting power, refer to the Compliancy and Regulatory Information document at https://www.audiocodes.com/library/technical-documents.
To cable the phone:
- Connect the short, straight end of the handset cord to the handset, and the longer straight end to the handset jack on the phone.
- (Optional) Connect a headset to the RJ-9 headset jack [headset symbol].
- Connect the RJ-45 LAN port ? to your network (LAN port or switch/router) using a CAT 5 / 5e Ethernet cable.
- Connect the RJ-45 PC port ? to a computer using a CAT 5 / 5e straight-through Ethernet cable.
- Connect the AC power adapter tip ? to the phone's DC 12V power socket ?, and then plug the adapter into an electrical wall outlet. The phone's LEDs will light up momentarily when it powers on.
The rear of the phone shows the following ports: Handset Jack, Headset Jack [headset symbol], DC 12V Power Socket ?, AUX port, RJ-45 PC port ?, and RJ-45 LAN port ?.
4. Mounting the Phone on a Desktop or Wall
For assembly principles, you can scan the QR code or refer to the YouTube video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oGe9STB9IFE.
Desktop Mounting: Slide the stand's outer rails (A) onto the phone's outer notches (A).
Wall Mounting: Slide the stand's middle rails (B) onto the phone's inner notches (B).
To detach the stand from the phone, push the release button with a pointed object.
ℹ️ Note: See the Regulatory Information before operating the device.
Wall Mounting Instructions:
- Use the mounting plate's two screw holes as a template to mark screw locations on the wall. The horizontal distance between screw holes is 5.39 inches (137 mm).
- Drill holes at the marked locations.
- Insert anchors (not supplied) for 3.9mm screws into each hole.
- Insert two screws (not supplied), recommended to be tapp 3.9 x 32mm (DIN 7981 C) self-tapping pan Phillips-head screws, into the anchors.
- Leave approximately 3/16 inch or 5 mm gap between the screw head and the wall.
- On the rear of the phone, detach the base used for desktop mounting.
- Hang the mounting plate onto the screws.
- Attach the phone to the plate.
5. Signing In
To sign in with your username and password:
- After connecting the phone to the network, it starts up and displays a prompt to sign in.
- Open a web browser and navigate to https://microsoft.com/devicelogin.
- Enter the code displayed on the phone (e.g., CUT6R8H7T) into the web browser and click "Next".
- On the 'Pick an account' screen, select your account or click '+' to use another.
- Enter your password (the same as your PC password) and click "Sign in".
- Use the phone's navigation control button to navigate and select your password. Press the upper, lower, left, or right rim of the button to move.
- Navigate to the [OK button] and press the OK navigation control button on the phone. A connecting indication will be displayed, followed by a "Got it" prompt.
- Navigate to and select "Got it". The phone's 'home' screen will be displayed, indicating successful sign-in.
6. Signing Out
To sign out:
- Navigate to and select the menu icon ☰, then select "Settings", and finally the "Sign out" option.
- Navigate to and select "OK" to confirm. You are now signed out of the phone.
7. Changing your Presence Status
To change your presence status:
- Navigate to and select the current presence status indicator (e.g., "Available").
- Navigate to and select the desired status (e.g., Busy, Do not disturb, Be right back, Away, Offline).
8. Basic Phone Operations
For basic phone operations, refer to Microsoft documentation and the AudioCodes C435HD IP Phone for Microsoft Teams User's and Administrator's Manual.
