LILLVIKEN Water Trap and Strainer Installation
Tools Required

- Screwdriver

Ensure you have all the necessary parts before beginning:
- 1x Main trap body (148962)
- 1x Strainer body (195565)
- 1x Threaded pipe
- 1x Nut (148977)
- 1x Screw (148975)
Installation Steps

Step 1: Assemble the trap body
Connect the main trap body components. Ensure a 'CLICK!' sound is heard to confirm proper connection.

Step 2: Attach trap to sink
Insert the assembled trap into the sink's drain opening.

Step 3: Secure the trap
From underneath the sink, align the trap with the drain opening and push it upwards. A magnified view shows the correct alignment with the sink's rim.

Step 4: Cut the pipe (if necessary)
Use a hacksaw to cut the flexible pipe to the desired length. Ensure clean cuts for a proper seal.

Step 5: Connect the flexible pipe
Attach the flexible pipe to the trap body using the provided screw and nut. Tighten securely.

Step 6: Install the strainer
Insert the strainer into the sink's drain opening. Use a screwdriver to tighten the retaining nut from underneath the sink. Ensure the rubber seal is properly seated.

Step 7: Final assembly
The trap and strainer are now installed in the sink.

Step 8: Connect to waste pipe
Connect the flexible pipe to the main waste pipe. Use the provided collar to secure the connection.

Step 9: Secure the pipe
Ensure the flexible pipe is properly positioned and secured to prevent kinks or strain.

Step 10: Connect outlet
Attach the outlet fitting to the end of the flexible pipe.

Step 11: Connect to drain
Connect the flexible pipe to the household drain system.

Step 12: Final pipe connections
Ensure all pipe connections are secure and properly aligned.

Step 13: Secure strainer assembly
Ensure the strainer assembly is correctly installed and locked in place.

Step 14: Wall mounting (optional)
Use scissors to cut a piece of string or cable. Attach it to the wall brackets to secure the pipework.

Step 15: Secure pipework
Use the provided brackets and screws to secure the flexible pipe to the wall or cabinet for stability.

Step 16: Insert strainer
Place the strainer into the sink opening.

Step 17: Test for leaks
Run water into the sink and check all connections for leaks. Ensure water drains correctly and the trap is sealed.
Maintenance
After a period of use, check all connections to ensure they are tight and properly sealed.
