- Do not overcook food. Attend appliance carefully when paper, plastic, or other combustible materials are placed inside for cooking.
- Remove wire twist-ties from paper or plastic bags before placing in oven.
- If materials inside ignite, keep oven door closed, turn oven off, and disconnect the power cord or shut off power at the fuse or circuit breaker panel.
- Do not use the cavity for storage. Do not leave paper products, cooking utensils, or food in the cavity when not in use.
- Liquids, such as water, coffee, or tea, can be overheated beyond the boiling point without appearing to boil due to surface tension. Visible bubbling or boiling may not be present when the container is removed. This can result in very hot liquids suddenly boiling over when a spoon or other utensil is inserted. To reduce the risk of injury:
- Do not overheat the liquid.
- Stir the liquid both before and halfway through heating.
- Do not use straight-sided containers with narrow necks.
- After heating, allow the container to stand in the microwave oven for a short time before removing it.
- Use extreme care when inserting a spoon or other utensil into the container.
- DO NOT heat oil or fat for deep-frying.
- Pierce foods with heavy skins (e.g., potatoes, squash, apples) before cooking.
- Stir or shake the contents of feeding bottles and baby jars, and check the temperature before serving to avoid burns.
- Cooking containers may become hot due to heat transferred from the food. Potholders may be needed.
- Do not cover or block any openings on the appliance.
- Do not store or use this appliance outdoors. Do not use near water (e.g., kitchen sink, wet basement, swimming pool).
- Do not operate if the cord or plug is damaged, or if the appliance is not working properly or has been damaged or dropped.

SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS
Precautions to Avoid Possible Exposure to Excessive Microwave Energy
- Do not operate the oven with the door open, as this can result in harmful exposure to microwave energy. Do not defeat or tamper with safety interlocks.
- Do not place any object between the oven front face and the door, or allow soil or cleaner residue to accumulate on sealing surfaces.
- Do not operate the oven if it is damaged, especially if the door is bent, hinges/latches are broken/loosened, or door seals/sealing surfaces are damaged.
- The oven should not be adjusted or repaired by anyone except properly qualified service personnel.
Installation Guide
- Remove all packing materials and accessories. Examine the oven for damage. If damaged, do not operate and contact qualified service personnel.
- Select a level surface providing adequate ventilation. Allow 3 inches of open space on the sides and back, and 12 inches above. Do not place items on top or remove the legs.
- Place the microwave as far as possible from radios and televisions to avoid interference.
- Plug the microwave into a grounded household outlet. Ensure voltage and frequency are compatible with the outlet.
- Do not install over a range cook top or other heat-producing appliance, as heat can damage the microwave and void the warranty.
Turntable Assembly:
- Never place the glass tray upside down.
- The glass tray should never be restricted during cooking.
- Both the glass tray and turntable ring assembly must always be used.
- All food and containers should be placed on the glass tray.
- The glass tray rotates clockwise or counter-clockwise; this is normal.
- If the glass tray or turntable ring assembly cracks or breaks, contact service support: 1-866-321-9509.
Grounding Instructions
This appliance must be grounded. Improper use of the grounding plug can result in a risk of electric shock.
Consult a qualified electrician or serviceman if grounding instructions are not understood or if doubt exists.
- If using an extension cord, use only a 3-wire extension cord with a 3-blade grounding plug and a 3-slot receptacle. The cord's rating must be equal to or greater than the appliance's rating.
- Do not use an extension cord if the power supply cord is too short; have a qualified electrician or serviceman install an outlet nearby.
Electrical Requirements: 120 Volt 60 Hz, AC only, 15 Amp. A separate circuit serving only the oven is recommended. The oven has a 3-prong grounding plug and must be plugged into a properly installed and grounded receptacle.
Power Supply Cord: A short cord is provided to reduce risks of entanglement or tripping. Longer cord sets or extension cords may be used if care is exercised. Ensure the cord's rating is adequate and the cord is arranged so it won't drape over the counter or table where it can be pulled on or tripped over.
Note: Consult a qualified electrician or service person for questions about grounding or electrical instructions. The manufacturer or dealer is not liable for damage or injury resulting from failure to observe electrical connection procedures.
Radio or TV Interference: If interference occurs, check if the microwave is on a different circuit, relocate the radio or TV, or check the receiving antenna. This device complies with part 18 of the FCC Rules.

Cooking Techniques
Your microwave makes cooking easier than conventional cooking, provided you keep these considerations in mind.
Stirring
- Stir foods like casseroles and vegetables during cooking to distribute heat evenly.
- Food at the outside absorbs more energy and heats faster, so stir from the outside to the center.
Arrangement
- Arrange unevenly shaped foods (e.g., chicken pieces, chops) with thicker, meatier parts towards the outside of the turntable for more microwave energy.
- To prevent overcooking, place delicate areas (e.g., asparagus tips) toward the center of the turntable.
Shielding
- Shield food with narrow strips of aluminum foil to prevent overcooking.
- Areas needing shielding include poultry wing tips, ends of poultry legs, and corners of square baking dishes.
- Use only small amounts of aluminum foil; larger amounts can damage your oven.
Turning
- Turn foods over midway through cooking to expose all parts to microwave energy. This is especially important for large foods like roasts.
Standing
- Foods build up internal heat and continue to cook for a few minutes after heating stops.
- Let foods stand to complete cooking, especially cakes and whole vegetables.
- Roasts need this time to cook in the center without overcooking outer areas.
- Stir liquids (soup, hot chocolate) when cooking is complete. Let stand a moment before serving. Use caution when stirring hot liquids.
- When heating baby food, stir well and test temperature before serving.
Adding Moisture
- Microwave energy is attracted to water molecules.
- Food with uneven moisture content should be covered or allowed to stand for even heat dispersion.
- Add a small amount of water to dry food to help it cook.
Before Calling for Service
Before asking for service, check the following:
- Ensure the microwave is securely plugged in. If not, unplug, wait 10 seconds, and plug in again.
- Check for a blown circuit fuse or tripped main circuit breaker. Test the outlet with another appliance if it appears to be working.
- Ensure the control panel is programmed correctly and the timer is set.
- Ensure the door is securely closed, engaging the door lock system. If not, microwave energy will not flow.
Cleaning and Care
- Turn off the oven and unplug it before cleaning.
- Keep the inside clean. Wipe walls with a damp cloth for splatters or spills. Mild detergent may be used for heavy dirt. Avoid spray and harsh cleaners that may stain or dull the door surface.
- Clean outside surfaces with a damp cloth. Prevent water from seeping into ventilation openings.
- Wipe the window on both sides with a damp cloth to remove spills or spatters.
- Do not allow the control panel to get wet. Clean with a soft, damp cloth. Leave the oven door open when cleaning the control panel to prevent accidental activation.
- If steam accumulates inside or around the oven door, wipe with a soft cloth. This is normal under high humidity conditions.
- Remove the glass tray for cleaning. Wash in warm, sudsy water or a dishwasher.
- Clean the roller ring and oven floor regularly to avoid noise. Wipe the bottom surface with mild detergent. The roller ring can be washed in mild sudsy water or a dishwasher. Ensure the roller ring is replaced in the proper position after cleaning.
- Remove odors by microwaving a cup of water with the juice and skin of one lemon for 5 minutes. Wipe thoroughly and dry with a soft cloth.
- If the light bulb burns out, contact a certified electrician for replacement.
- The oven should be cleaned regularly, removing food deposits. Failure to maintain cleanliness can lead to surface deterioration, affecting the appliance's life and potentially causing a hazardous situation.
- If discarding this unit, do not dispose of it with normal trash. Take it to your nearest recycling center.
