Installation Process
Diagram Description: This is a flowchart illustrating the installation paths for various Evonic Fires models. It starts with a list of models grouped by installation type. Arrows lead to specific installation methods like 'Slide In Installation', 'Tie Back Installation', 'Free-standing Spacer', and 'Wall Mounted Installation', each referencing a page number. Subsequent steps involve 'Remove Glass', 'Layout your Fuel Set', and 'Replace Glass', followed by fascia fitting options ('Install Magnet Fascia', 'Install Keyhole Fascia', 'Install Slotted Fascia').
Installation (Slide in Models)
Models applicable to Slide In Installation:
- Amathus
- Brooklyn
- Colorado
- Detroit
- Ev4i
- Ev4i4
- Ev6i
- Ev6i4
- Iowa
- Kepler 22
- Nebraska
- Phantom
- Staton
- Topaz
Diagram Description: The diagram shows an isometric view of a fireplace insert unit. Dashed lines indicate the dimensions of a standard opening: 16" (406mm) wide and 22" (559mm) high. It illustrates the unit being slid into a prepared opening, with the electrical lead connection point shown at the back lower right.
Procedure: Once the dimensions have been checked, attach the electrical lead to the power inlet on the back lower right. Connect the electrical lead to the mains power, then slide the appliance into the prepared opening.
Installation (Tie Back Models)
Models applicable to Tie Back Installation:
- Oberon
- Strellar
Diagram Description: The diagram shows an isometric view of a fireplace insert unit, similar to the slide-in model, indicating it fits into a standard 16" x 22" opening. The text describes the process for Strellar and Oberon models.
Strellar Infill Plate: The Strellar model includes an infill plate and 2 screws. For Oberon models, this step can be skipped. To fit the infill plate, screw the two screws into the sides of the plate, aligning with the screw holes on the front of the appliance.
Strellar & Oberon Installation: First, attach the electrical lead to the power inlet on the back lower right and plug into the mains power. Using the Cast Frame fixing kit, drill and fit 2 wall plugs and 2 screw eyes inside the wall opening. Form a loop with the cable by threading it through a hole on the front of the appliance, then through the eye screws, and back through another hole on the appliance. Move the appliance into the opening, pulling the solid end of the cable against it. Feed the barrel clamp onto the open end of the cable and screw it tight while maintaining tension. Cut the cable approximately 50mm away from the barrel clamp.
Installation (With Spacer)
Models applicable to Installation With Spacer:
- Amathus
- Brooklyn
- Colorado
- Detroit
- Iowa
- Kepler 22
- Phantom
- Staton
Diagram Description: The diagram shows an isometric view of the fireplace unit and a separate spacer frame. Dashed lines indicate how the spacer attaches to the back of the appliance, with screw holes aligned. The semi-circular hole for the electrical lead is also shown.
Procedure: To convert your appliance to a free-standing unit, you can fit an optional spacer. Before securing the spacer, attach the electrical lead to the inlet at the back bottom corner of the appliance. Once the spacer is fitted, it will be more difficult to attach the lead. Position the spacer at the back of the appliance and line up the three screw holes on both the appliance and spacer. Screw in the three screws. The electrical lead can then slot into the semi-circular hole, allowing the appliance to sit free-standing on the floor.
Installation (Wall Mounted)
Models applicable to Wall Mounted Installation:
- Ev4i4
- Ev6i4
- Topaz
Diagram Description: The diagram shows an isometric view of the fireplace insert being fitted into a wall opening. Dashed lines indicate screw points on the sides of the unit that secure it to the wall once it's in the prepared opening.
Procedure: Once the measurements are confirmed, plug in the appliance and slide it into the prepared opening. The appliance can then be screwed to the wall with the four screw holes as shown.
Removing the Glass
Models applicable to Removing the Glass:
- Colorado
- Detroit
- Ev4i
- Ev4i4
- Ev6i
- Ev6i4

KEYHOLE
The Detroit model has a fascia that is attached by lining up the four screws on the back of the fascia with the four keyholes on the front of the appliance.
Diagram Description: The diagrams show the front and back views of a fireplace unit for fascia attachment. One diagram illustrates the keyhole attachment method for the Detroit model, showing screws on the fascia lining up with keyholes on the appliance. Another diagram shows the slotted attachment for Detroit and Strellar models, detailing clips and a mounting bracket.
SLOTTED
The Detroit and Strellar cast fascia is secured to the front of the appliance with two top mounted clips and a mounting bracket. Line up the two clips with the top of the mounting bracket and slot them down into the bracket.
