INSTALLATION PROCESS

Flowchart describing the installation process:

The process begins by identifying the model group: 'Sphera, Colorado, Kepler 22, Topaz, Argenta 16, Argenta 22, C1, C2, C3 Models', 'Oberon', 'Strellar', 'Colorado, Kepler 22', or 'Ev4i4, Ev6i4, Topaz'.

These groups lead to different installation methods:

  • 'Slide In Installation' (Page 17)
  • 'Tie Back Installation' (Page 19)
  • 'Free-standing Spacer' (Page 21)
  • 'Wall Mounted Installation' (Page 23)

Each installation method is followed by a 'Remove Glass' step (Page 25).

After removing the glass, the next step is to 'Layout your Fuel Set' (Page 27).

Following the fuel set layout, the process involves 'Replace Glass' (Page 25).

Finally, the installation concludes with fitting the fascia, which can be done via:

  • 'Install Magnet Fascia' (Page 28)
  • 'Install Keyhole Fascia' (Page 28)
  • 'Install Slotted Fascia' (Page 28)

INSTALLATION - SLIDE IN

Models applicable to Slide In installation:

  • Kepler 22
  • Topaz
  • Colorado
  • Sphera
  • Argenta 16
  • Argenta 22
  • C1
  • C2
  • C3

INSTALLATION - SLIDE IN DETAILS

All Evonic inset models are designed to be fitted into a standard 16" wide x 22" high opening. Before starting the installation, check the dimensions of both the appliance and your opening to ensure that they align well.

Please note, if you are installing into an existing chimney breast, it is imperative that the flue is adequately blocked off.

SLIDING IN

Once the dimensions have been checked, attach the electrical lead to the power inlet on the back lower right. Connect the electrical lead to the mains power, then slide the appliance into the prepared opening.

Diagram description: An illustration of an inset fireplace unit with dashed lines indicating its dimensions within a fireplace opening. The dimensions are labeled as 16" (406mm) wide and 22" (559mm) high.

INSTALLATION - TIE BACK MODELS

Models applicable to Tie Back installation:

  • Oberon
  • Strellar

INSTALLATION - TIE BACK DETAILS

All our inset models are designed to be fitted into a standard 16" wide x 22" high opening. Before starting the installation, check the dimensions of both the appliance and your opening to ensure that they align well.

Please note, if you are installing into an existing chimney breast, it is imperative that the flue is adequately blocked off.

STRELLAR INFILL PLATE

The Strellar model comes with an infill plate and 2x screws. If you have an Oberon model, you can skip to the section below and continue with the installation.

To fit the Infill plate, screw in the two screws to either side of the plate as shown. This lines up with the two screw holes on the front of the appliance.

You can now continue the installation in the below section.

STRELLAR & OBERON INSTALLATION

First, attach the electrical lead to the power inlet on the back lower right and plug into the mains power.

Using the Cast Frame fixing kit, drill and fit the 2 wall plugs and 2 screw eyes to the inside of the wall opening.

Then, using the cable, form a loop by threading it through one of the holes on the front of the appliance, then through the eye screws, and back through another hole on the appliance. You can use the most conveniently positioned hole on the appliance for your installation.

Now, move the appliance into the opening, pulling the solid end of the cable against the appliance.

Feed the barrel clamp onto the open end of the cable, and whilst maintaining tension, screw it tight.

Cut the cable approximately 50mm away from the barrel clamp.

INSTALLATION - WITH SPACER

Applicable to: All Models

INSTALLATION - WITH SPACER DETAILS

To convert your appliance to a free-standing unit, you can fit an optional spacer.

Before securing the spacer, attach the electrical lead to the inlet at the back bottom corner of the appliance. Once the spacer is fitted, it will be more difficult to attach this.

Position the spacer at the back of the appliance and line up the three screw holes on both the appliance and spacer. Then screw in your three screws as shown below. The electrical lead can then slot into the semi-circular hole, allowing the appliance to sit free-standing on the floor.

Diagram description: An illustration showing an inset fireplace unit and a separate spacer frame. Dashed lines indicate how the spacer attaches to the rear of the fireplace unit using three screws.

INSTALLATION - WALL MOUNTED

Model applicable to Wall Mounted installation:

  • Topaz

INSTALLATION - WALL MOUNTED DETAILS

All our inset models are designed to be fitted into a standard 16" wide x 22" high opening. Before starting the installation, check the dimensions of both the appliance and your opening to ensure that they align well.

Once the measurements are confirmed, plug in the appliance and slide it into the prepared opening. The appliance can then be screwed to the wall with the four screw holes as shown below.

Diagram description: An illustration of an inset fireplace unit mounted within a wall opening. Dashed lines indicate four screw points for securing the unit to the wall.
