Installation
All inset models are designed to fit into a standard 16" wide x 22" high opening. Verify dimensions of both the appliance and the opening before installation. If installing into an existing chimney breast, ensure the flue is adequately blocked off.
Installation Process Overview
The installation process varies slightly by model and desired installation type (Slide In, Tie Back, Free-standing Spacer, Wall Mounted). Refer to the specific sections below.
Slide In Installation (Models: Ev4i, Ev4i4, Ev6i, Ev6i4)
Once dimensions are checked, attach the electrical lead to the power inlet on the back lower right. Connect to mains power, then slide the appliance into the prepared opening. The opening should be approximately 16" (406mm) wide and 22" (559mm) high.
Tie Back Models (Models: Oberon, Strellar)
Strellar Infill Plate: The Strellar model includes an infill plate and 2 screws. Attach the plate by screwing it into the two holes on either side of the plate, aligning with the appliance's front screw holes.
Strellar & Oberon Installation: Attach the electrical lead to the power inlet on the back lower right and plug into mains power. Using the Cast Frame fixing kit, drill and fit 2 wall plugs and 2 screw eyes inside the wall opening. Thread the electrical cable through an appliance hole, then through the eye screws, and back through another appliance hole. Move the appliance into the opening, pull the cable end against the appliance, feed the barrel clamp onto the cable, and screw it tight while maintaining tension. Cut the cable approximately 50mm from the barrel clamp.
With Spacer (Models: Colorado, Kepler 22)
To convert to a free-standing unit, fit an optional spacer. Before securing, attach the electrical lead to the inlet at the back bottom corner. Position the spacer at the back of the appliance, aligning three screw holes on both the appliance and spacer. Screw them together. The electrical lead can then slot into the semi-circular hole, allowing the appliance to sit free-standing on the floor.
Wall Mounted Installation (Models: Ev4i4, Ev6i4, Topaz)
Once measurements are confirmed, plug in the appliance and slide it into the prepared opening. The appliance can then be screwed to the wall using the four screw holes indicated.
