Getting Started

  1. Download HOBOconnect App

    Download the HOBOconnect app to your phone or tablet from the [App Store] or [Google Play].

    Alternatively, download HOBOconnect for your Windows computer from: www.onsetcomp.com/products/software/hoboconnect

  2. Open App and Enable Bluetooth

    Open the HOBOconnect app. Enable Bluetooth ? in your device settings if prompted.

  3. Install External Sensors

    Install any external self-describing sensors. To insert a sensor plug:

    • Using the diagram on the logger housing as reference, insert the plug into the analog sensor port.
    • Turn the plug one-quarter clockwise.
    • Ensure the flat part of the plug is facing up when properly installed.

    For other types of external analog sensors, insert the sensor plug into an analog sensor port.

  4. Wake Up the Logger

    Press either button on the logger to wake it up.

  5. Connect to the Logger

    In the HOBOconnect app, tap 'Devices'. Tap your logger in the app to connect. If multiple loggers are present, press the top button on the logger again to bring it to the top of the list. If the logger does not appear, ensure it is within range of your phone, tablet, or computer.

  6. Set Up the Logger

    Once connected, tap [Setup] to configure the logger.

    • Choose your logger settings, including configurations for any external analog sensors. Ensure all desired channels are enabled.
    • Tap [Save] to save the settings to the logger. The logger will begin logging based on your selected settings. If you configured the logger to start with a button push, press the start button on the logger.

Deployment and Data Offload

  1. Deploy the Logger

    Deploy the logger to the location where you will be monitoring conditions. Insert one of the included plugs into any empty ports. For additional deployment guidelines, refer to the full product manual at www.onsetcomp.com/support/manuals/23968-mx1104-and-mx1105-manual.

  2. Offload Data

    To offload data from the logger to your device: Wake up the logger if necessary by pressing a button. Connect to the logger in the app. Tap 'Devices', then tap [Connect]. To view or export data, tap 'HOBO Files', tap [Export] (if applicable), and tap [Save].

Quick Reference: Button Functions

The logger displays current readings, e.g., "CH1 48.25 AMP LOGGING".
