1. About Camera

1.1. Product Contents

The product package should contain:

  • IP Camera × 1
  • User Manual × 1
  • Wi-Fi Antenna × 1
  • Power Adapter × 1
  • Network Cable × 1
  • Screws Bag × 1

1.2. Product Interface

The camera interface includes:

  • Reset Button: Used for resetting the camera to factory settings.
  • RJ45 Interface: For wired network connection.
  • Power Port: For connecting the power adapter.

1.3. How to Fit Waterproof Lid

Description of how to attach the waterproof lid to the camera cables, typically involving screwing components together to protect connections from the elements.

2. Connect Camera

2.1. Network and Power Connection

Connect the network cable to your router and plug in the power adapter. Ensure your router is connected to the internet. Use the standard power supply provided.

The router must be able to connect to the internet. Please use the standard power supply.

2.2. Initial Camera Setup

Connect the LAN cable and power to the camera. Allow approximately one minute for the camera to self-check and start working.

Network indicator light (green): A continuously flashing green light indicates normal network data transmission.

3. View via Mobile Phone

3.1. Download and Install the CamHi App

Download the "CamHi" app from Google Play (for Android phones) or the App Store (for iPhones). Alternatively, scan the provided QR codes to get app information.

3.2. Run App and Add Camera

Open the CamHi app and follow these steps to add your camera:

  1. Tap "Add Camera".
  2. Use "Search camera from LAN" to find your camera's UID.
  3. Tap the camera's UID and then tap "Done" to add it.

Note: Please do not use the "Wireless Installation" option at this stage.

3.3. View Real-time Image

After adding the camera, tap on the online camera to view the real-time image. You can only view one camera at a time.

3.4. Set Wi-Fi for Wireless Operation

To enable wireless connectivity:

  1. Navigate to the camera's settings page.
  2. Select "Wi-Fi Setting".
  3. Choose your home Wi-Fi network (SSID) and enter the Wi-Fi password.

Notes:

  • WIFI Name (SSID) should not include special characters like @, #, $, %, &, or spaces.
  • WIFI Password should be between 8-31 characters and contain no special characters.
  • The camera supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi only. If you have a dual-band router, disable the 5GHz band or ensure the 2.4GHz and 5GHz SSIDs are distinguishable so you can select the correct one.

After the camera reconnects wirelessly (wait about 30 seconds), you can remove the LAN cable.

3.5. How to Set Up Camera by AP Mode

This method is used when direct network connection is not feasible.

  1. Connect the power supply to the camera. Do not connect the network cable.
  2. Reset the camera: Press and hold the reset button near the power port for 8 seconds.
  3. Wait about 1 minute. On your mobile phone, turn on Wi-Fi and search for the camera's SSID, which is typically in the format: IPCAM-123456 (the number will vary).
  4. Connect your phone to the camera's Wi-Fi SSID.
  5. Run the "CamHi" app and tap "Add Camera".
  6. Use "Search camera from LAN" to find the camera.
  7. Select the camera and input the default password "admin" to add it.

4. View via PC

4.1. Install and Use the Search Tool

Download the "Search tool" from the SV3C website (www.sv3c.com) and run it to find your cameras on the network.

Click "Refresh" to find the cameras. Double-click the camera information to open it in a browser.

You can click "Next" to modify network parameters if needed. The software can find network settings automatically, but manual configuration is also possible.

4.2. Access Camera via Browser

You can view the camera's image and configure all parameters through a web browser. For the best experience and full settings access, it is recommended to use Internet Explorer.

4.3. Set Wi-Fi via Internet Explorer on PC

To configure Wi-Fi settings using Internet Explorer:

  1. Log in to the camera using its IP address via Internet Explorer. Navigate to the "wireless" page.
  2. Select your home Wi-Fi network (SSID).
  3. Enter the Wi-Fi password.
  4. Save the settings.
  5. Perform a Wi-Fi test to confirm the connection.

4.4. Connect and Manage Multiple Cameras

You can connect and manage multiple cameras using the dedicated PC software. Download the PC software from the SV3C website (www.sv3c.com).

5. Set Micro SD Card Record

5.1. Find Installation Videos

Visit the SV3C website (www.sv3c.com) to find installation videos for your Micro SD card setup. Navigate to Support > Download. Look for videos specific to the HX Series.

Recommendation: Use a SD-micro Class-10, UHS-1, or higher speed memory card specifically designed for surveillance cameras.

5.2. Set Motion Detection and Recording on Phone App

Configure motion detection and recording settings within the CamHi app:

  1. Format the SD card and verify it is available before recording.
  2. Open "Motion Detection" settings.
  3. Set the detection area and sensitivity level.
  4. Enable "Alarm SD REC" to record when motion is detected.
  5. Tap "APPLY" to save the settings.

Motion detection recording is recommended when the Micro SD card capacity is small.

5.3. Set All-Day Recording on Phone App

To record continuously:

  1. Format the SD card and ensure it is available.
  2. Open "Enable Record" in the Recording Schedule settings.

Note: If you do not need all-day recording, you can disable "Enable Record" or select "None". More detailed recording schedules can be set via the PC browser.

5.4. Playback Recordings on Phone App

Access recorded footage:

  1. Navigate to the record page.
  2. Tap "Online" to access the camera's online recordings.
  3. Play or download the desired video files.

5.5. Set Time Zone on Phone

Ensure accurate time synchronization:

  1. Tap to set the time zone for the camera.
  2. Select the correct time zone according to your phone's time.
  3. Tap to reboot the camera and save the new time zone settings.

Note: If Daylight Saving Time (DST) is active, please enable the DST option.

6. Reboot and Restore to Factory Settings

6.1. Restart the Camera

Reconnect the power adapter to restart the camera.

6.2. Restore Factory Settings

Press and hold the reset button for 15 seconds. The camera will then restore to its factory default settings.
