The G2 complies with the Bluetooth V5.0 standard and supports the following profiles: Headset Profile (HSP), Hands-Free Profile (HFP), and Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP).

Speaker

Equipped with 36mm HD stereo helmet speakers. These speakers are designed to fit a wide variety of helmets, including open-face, modular, full-face, and off-road helmets. The high-quality, portable, and slim HD speakers deliver excellent audio fidelity. The included microphone utilizes CVC and DSP smart noise reduction technology, offering industry-leading capabilities in reducing wind and ambient noise.

Battery

Features a large capacity 800mAh battery, providing up to 18 hours of music playback or 13 hours of continuous talk time, and over a week of standby time.

03 Installation Instructions

Installing the Clamp Mount Bracket

  1. Step 1: Gently spread the clamp mount bracket and slide it between the helmet shell and the inner padding. Secure the bracket by ensuring it is firmly in place. (See diagram)
  2. Step 2: For users who prefer not to use the clamp mount or cannot, the 3M adhesive mount bracket is provided. Peel off the 3M adhesive tape sheet and firmly attach the bracket to the left side of the helmet. Press down for approximately 15 seconds. For optimal adhesion, wait about 24 hours before use. (See diagram)

Note: While the 3M adhesive mount bracket is included, LEXIN recommends using the clamp mount bracket. LEXIN is not responsible for any damage caused by the use of the 3M adhesive mount bracket.

Attaching the Intercom Unit

The G2 unit has two posts on its back that align with rectangular slots on the bracket. Align the posts with the slots, slide the unit downwards, and push firmly to secure it. (See diagram)

Removing the G2 Unit

Before removing the G2 unit, ensure it is not connected to the speaker. To remove the unit, push it upwards and to the left. (See diagram)

Installing the Speakers

Note: For enhanced FM radio reception, place the shorter wire speaker on the left ear and the longer wire speaker on the right ear. Position the speakers inside the helmet lining and secure them using the included Velcro pads.

  1. Step 1: Attach the Velcro pad to the inside of the helmet.
  2. Step 2: Securely attach the speaker to the Velcro. If the helmet's ear pockets are deep, use the speaker pads to bring the speakers closer to your ears.
  3. Step 3: Tuck the wiring neatly inside the helmet shell and padding.

Note: Speaker pads are included. If your helmet has deep ear pockets, use the speaker pads to adjust the speaker position closer to your ear.

Installing the Microphone

Note: The wireless microphone is for full-face helmets, and the boom microphone is for open-face helmets. Choose the microphone that best suits your preference and helmet type.

For Full-Face Helmets / Wireless Microphone:

  1. Step 1: Find a suitable position on the center of the helmet and attach the microphone's Velcro.
  2. Step 2: Attach the wireless microphone to the Velcro.
  3. Step 3: Connect to the speaker on the left side. (See diagram)

For Open-Face Helmets / Boom Microphone:

  1. Step 1: Place the Velcro on the left side of the helmet and position the boom microphone onto the Velcro.
  2. Step 2: Adjust the microphone so that the white triangle mark faces your mouth.
  3. Step 3: If necessary, attach the microphone holder to secure the microphone. (See diagram)

Replacing the Face Plate

  1. Step 1: Remove the original face plate. There is a small gap on the left side of the face plate. Use a thin object to gently pry the face plate off the G2 unit.
  2. Step 2: Select the new face plate, align it with the intercom unit, and press firmly to attach it.

06 Basic Operation

Power On/Off

  • Power On: Press and hold the Power button for 2 seconds. The device will announce 'Power On' and indicate the battery level.
  • Power Off: With the device on, press and hold the Power button for 2 seconds. The device will announce 'Power Off'.

Battery

Charging: Connect the USB cable to the USB port and charge using any DC 5V power source, such as a smartphone charger, computer, or power bank. The red LED will flash during charging. When the red LED stops flashing and the blue LED starts flashing, charging is complete. Full charging takes approximately 2.5 hours.

Battery Level Notification

To check battery level: While in standby mode, press and hold the Volume Down button for approximately 7 seconds. The device will announce the battery level. Continue holding the button until 'Pairing' is announced, then release. The battery level is indicated in five levels: 100% > 80% > 50% > 25% > Battery Low.

Note: In the 'Battery Low' state, the device can still be used for approximately 1-1.5 hours. It will provide notifications every 15 minutes.

Bluetooth Device Connection

Note: The G2 can connect to up to two devices simultaneously (e.g., two smartphones or one smartphone and one Bluetooth device). Once paired, the G2 will automatically connect when powered on, provided the Bluetooth switch on the connected devices is on and they are in standby mode.

Smartphone Connection:

  1. Step 1: With the device off, press and hold the Power button for about 5 seconds until the LED indicator flashes red and blue, indicating pairing mode.
  2. Step 2: On your smartphone, search for Bluetooth devices and select 'LEXIN G2'.
  3. Step 3: If prompted for a PIN or passcode, enter '0000'.
  4. Step 4: Confirm that the pairing is successful on your smartphone.

Note: The G2 will indicate successful pairing with a flashing blue LED and an audio prompt.

Reconnecting to the last connected phone: When powered on, the G2 will automatically reconnect to the last paired phone. In standby mode, press the Power button once to reconnect to the last connected phone.

Phone Reconnection:

After pairing, if the connection between the device and your smartphone is lost, press the Power button to reconnect.

GPS Device Connection:

With the device off, press and hold the Power button for about 5 seconds until the LED indicator flashes red and blue, and an audio prompt is heard. Enter pairing mode. After pairing, the LED indicator will flash blue, and an audio prompt will be heard.

Note: Once paired, you will hear GPS navigation prompts from the G2.

Resetting the Device:

In standby mode, press and hold the Volume Up button for approximately 7 seconds. Even when you hear the 'Pairing' audio prompt, do not release the button. When you hear a 'beep' sound and the red LED flashes rapidly, the device has been reset.

Phone Calls

  • Answering a call: When receiving a call, press the Power button once to answer.
  • Ending a call: During a call, press the Power button once to end it.
  • Rejecting a call: When receiving a call, press the Power button twice to reject it.
  • Answering a second incoming call: While on an active call, press the Intercom button twice to answer the second call and end the current one.
  • Rejecting a second incoming call: While on an active call, press the Volume Up button twice to reject the second incoming call.

Voice Control:

In standby mode, press the Power button twice to activate Siri or S-Voice.

Basic Audio Functions

Volume Adjustment:

Press the Volume +/- buttons to adjust the volume. An audio prompt will announce when the maximum or minimum volume is reached.

Music Playback / Pause:

  • Play: In standby mode, press the Power button once to play music.
  • Pause: While music is playing, press the Power button once to pause it.

Track Change:

  • Press the Volume Up button twice to skip to the next track.
  • Press the Volume Down button twice to go back to the previous track.

Note: When listening to smartphone audio, the volume may be higher. Adjust the smartphone's volume accordingly.

FM Radio

  • Turning FM Radio On: Press and hold the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons simultaneously for 1 second to turn on the FM radio.
  • Turning FM Radio Off: Press and hold the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons simultaneously for 1 second to turn off the FM radio.
  • Tuning Stations: Press the Volume Up or Volume Down button twice to change radio stations.

Intercom Pairing

Pairing Two Units:

The G2 supports group intercom communication for 2-person simultaneous calls. Before pairing, it is recommended to reset all units. In standby mode, press and hold the Volume Up button for approximately 7 seconds. You will hear 'Pairing' and then a 'beep' sound with a rapidly flashing red LED, indicating a reset. This operation resets the device.

Pairing Process: In standby mode, press and hold the Intercom button for about 2 seconds. The LED indicator will flash red and blue, and an audio prompt will be heard. After a few seconds, the blue LED will flash rapidly, and the device will search for other units. The G2 enters pairing mode and automatically searches for devices. Once pairing is complete, the blue LED on both units will flash slowly, and an audio prompt will be heard.

Visual Description of Pairing:

  • Unit 1: Press and hold the Intercom button for 2 seconds, LED flashes red/blue.
  • Unit 2: Press and hold the Intercom button for 2 seconds, LED flashes red/blue.
  • After pairing, both G2 units will flash blue slowly.

Making a Call Between Two Units:

After pairing is complete, press the Intercom button once on either unit to initiate a call. During the call, the purple LED indicator will flash.

  • Press the Intercom button once to initiate a call. The purple LED will flash.
  • During the call, the purple LED indicator flashes on both units.

Ending an Intercom Call: Press the Power button once to end the intercom call. The LED will flash blue.

Note: Pressing the Volume Up or Volume Down button twice will exit pairing mode and return to standby.

Pairing Up to 6 Units:

The G2 supports group intercom connections, allowing for 2-person simultaneous calls. The G2 can connect with up to 6 units, meaning one unit can be paired with the other five. After pairing, you can easily switch between conversation partners to achieve 2-person simultaneous calls.

Note: It is recommended to reset the units before pairing. In standby mode, press and hold the Volume Up button for approximately 7 seconds. You will hear 'Pairing' and then a 'beep' sound with a rapidly flashing red LED, indicating a reset. This operation resets the device.

There are 5 pairing channels (A, B, C, D, E) for 6-unit pairing. The following describes the pairing method for Unit 1 with the other 5 units. Refer to the table on page 18 for pairing the remaining units across different channels.

A Channel Pairing:

In standby mode, press and hold the Intercom button for approximately 2 seconds. The LED indicator will flash red and blue, and an audio prompt will be heard. After a few seconds, the blue LED will flash rapidly, searching for devices. When the LED flashes blue slowly and an audio prompt is heard, pairing is complete.

  • Unit 1: Press and hold the Intercom button for 2 seconds, LED flashes red/blue.
  • Unit 2 (or subsequent units): Press and hold the Intercom button for 2 seconds, LED flashes red/blue.
  • After pairing, both G2 units will flash blue slowly.

Initiating A Channel Intercom Call:

After pairing is complete, press the Intercom button once on either unit to start an A channel intercom call. During the call, the purple LED indicator will flash.

  • During the call, the purple LED indicator flashes on both units.

B Channel Pairing:

In standby mode, press and hold the Volume Up button for approximately 2 seconds. The LED indicator will flash red and blue, and an audio prompt will be heard. After a few seconds, the blue LED will flash rapidly, searching for devices. When the LED flashes blue slowly and an audio prompt is heard, pairing is complete.

Visual Description of B Channel Pairing:

  • Unit 1: Press and hold the Volume Up button for 2 seconds, LED flashes red/blue.
  • Unit 3: Press and hold the Volume Up button for 2 seconds, LED flashes red/blue.
  • After pairing, both G2 units will flash blue slowly.

Initiating B Channel Intercom Call:

After pairing is complete, press the Intercom button twice on either unit to start a B channel intercom call. During the call, the purple LED indicator will flash.

C Channel Pairing:

In standby mode, press and hold the Intercom button and the Volume Up button simultaneously for approximately 2 seconds. The LED indicator will flash red and blue, and an audio prompt will be heard. After a few seconds, the blue LED will flash rapidly, searching for devices. When the LED flashes blue slowly and an audio prompt is heard, pairing is complete.

After pairing is complete, press the Intercom button three times on either unit to start a C channel intercom call. During the call, the purple LED indicator will flash.

Channel Pairing Summary:

  • A Channel: Standby, press and hold Intercom button for 2 seconds.
  • B Channel: Standby, press and hold Volume Up button for 2 seconds.
  • C Channel: Standby, press and hold Intercom button and Volume Up button simultaneously for 2 seconds.
  • D Channel: Standby, press and hold Volume Down button for 2 seconds.
  • E Channel: Standby, press and hold Intercom button and Volume Down button simultaneously for 2 seconds.

Initiating Intercom Calls by Channel:

  • A Channel: After pairing, press the Intercom button once (on either unit).
  • B Channel: After pairing, press the Intercom button twice (on either unit).
  • C Channel: After pairing, press the Intercom button three times (on either unit).
  • D Channel: After pairing, press the Intercom button four times (on either unit).
  • E Channel: After pairing, press the Intercom button five times (on either unit).

Universal Function: Pairing with Other LEXIN Intercoms

The pairing procedure for the G2 is similar to other LEXIN models such as B4FM, G16, MTX, and NOVUS X2. The following describes pairing with the LEXIN B4FM as an example.

Entering Pairing Mode: In standby mode, press and hold the Intercom button for 2 seconds on the device you wish to pair. The LED indicator will flash red and blue rapidly, and an audio prompt will be heard.

Visual Description of Pairing Mode:

  • Unit 1 (G2): Press and hold the Intercom button for 2 seconds, LED flashes red/blue.
  • Other Unit: Press and hold the Intercom button for 2 seconds, LED flashes red/blue.

Pairing Completion: The G2 will automatically search for and pair with the device. Pairing is complete when the LED indicator changes from red/blue flashing to blue flashing, accompanied by an audio prompt.

Making Intercom Calls:

After pairing is complete, press the Intercom button once on either unit to initiate a call between intercoms. During the call, the G2 will have a purple LED indicator flashing.

Ending an Intercom Call: During an intercom call, press the Power button once on either unit. The LED indicator will flash blue, indicating the call has ended.

Note: Pressing the Volume Up or Volume Down button twice will exit pairing mode and return to standby.

Pairing with Other Brand Intercoms (Connecting G2):

Follow these steps to pair the G2 with intercoms from other brands:

  1. Step 1: In standby mode, press and hold the Intercom button for 2 seconds. The LED indicator will flash red and blue, and an audio prompt will be heard.
  2. Step 2: Turn on the other brand's intercom and put it into pairing mode. The G2 will automatically search and pair.
  3. Step 3: After pairing is complete, the blue LED indicator will flash, and an audio prompt will be heard.
  4. Step 4: After pairing is complete, press the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons simultaneously once to start the intercom call. The LED indicator will flash purple.

Technical Standards Compliance Certificate

This product has obtained a Technical Standards Compliance Certificate and complies with the technical standards of the Radio Law.

  • FCC Rules: This product complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.
  • FCC RF Exposure Statement: The antenna used for this product must be installed to provide a separation distance of at least 20cm from all persons and must not be co-located or operated in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter.
  • FCC Warning: Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user's authority to operate the equipment.
  • CE Declaration of Conformity: In accordance with the R&TTE Directive (99/5/EC), this product bears the CE mark. LEXIN hereby declares that this product complies with the essential requirements and other relevant provisions of Directive 1999/5/EC.

Warranty Regulations

  • The warranty period for this product is one year from the date of purchase. If a malfunction occurs due to manufacturing defects or material flaws within this period, LEXIN will, at its discretion, provide free repair, product exchange, or replacement with an equivalent product.
  • However, malfunctions caused by improper use, accidents, unauthorized repairs, or modifications are not covered by the warranty. Damage due to natural disasters is also excluded.
  • Consumable items such as speaker microphones have a warranty period of 6 months. Loss, deterioration, damage, or connection failures occurring during the warranty period or use are not covered. Please understand this in advance.
  • LEXIN is not liable for any direct or indirect damages (accidents, injuries, loss of time, inconvenience, loss of profit, incidental expenses) resulting from product malfunctions.
  • Any significant external damage or cracks on the main unit will render the product ineligible for warranty service.

  • Even within the warranty period, charges may apply in certain cases. Please be aware of this.
  • Malfunctions caused by water ingress are not covered by the warranty under any circumstances.

Other Notes

Intercom Communication:

  • For group connections, the units should be connected in a chain-like manner. To maximize the communication range during group rides, arrange the units in the order of riding.
  • Bluetooth devices (smartphones or GPS navigators) cannot be paired while in group intercom mode.

Starting Intercom Calls:

It may take a few seconds to establish an intercom call after initiation. Please wait until the connection is made.

Communication Range:

If you move out of the communication range during an intercom call, you may experience noise, silence, or connection interruptions. In such cases, the G2 will automatically attempt to reconnect every few seconds until the connection is re-established.

Battery Saving:

To conserve battery power, disconnect the intercom connection when not in use.
