Connection
Front Panel: Depicts the front view of the switch with multiple Ethernet ports, a power indicator LED, a Link/Act LED, and a PoE LED. It also shows an 'EX Mode' button.
Rear Panel: Shows the rear view of the switch with a power switch, a grounding screw for safety, and an AC power socket for connecting the power cord.
Connection Diagram: Illustrates the setup of the VIVOTEK AW-FGT-260F-380 PoE Switch. It shows the switch connecting to a network source like a router or another switch. From the switch, connections extend to devices requiring PoE, such as IP cameras. The diagram also shows connections to network video recorders (NVR) or video management systems (VMS). It specifies that data and power can be transmitted up to 250 meters (820 feet) over compatible Ethernet cables. Alternative connection paths are shown, linking the switch to a router/switch, NVR, or VMS directly.
Important Grounding Information
The switch is equipped with a lightning protection mechanism. It is crucial to always ground the switch using the PE (Protective Earth) cable of the AC cord or a separate ground cable. Failure to properly ground the power supply can lead to damage to the unit.
DIP Switch Settings
Mode | Description |
---|---|
ST Mode | Normal communication for ports 1 through 26. |
