Quick Installation Guide

Introduction

The AW-GEV-288A-370 is a 24GbE PoE + 4xGbE combo RJ45/SFP + 1 x RJ45 console port L2 managed switch capable of feeding 15.4/30W (Port 1-20) and 802.3bt 90W (Port 21-24) power to Power over Ethernet (PoE) devices. It provides a reliable infrastructure for your business network and delivers intelligent features. Moreover, this switch also comes with functionality specifically designed for managing VIVOTEK's IP cameras and for quick access to connected devices. The switch is capable of a total of 370 watts power budget.

Important Notes

  1. Install the PoE switch in a ventilated and dry place that is free of electromagnetic source, vibration, moisture, and dust.
  2. Make sure the ventilation openings on the switch are not blocked.
  3. Make sure to use Cat. 6 AWG 23 or better UTP/STP cable when it's longer than 100m. Low quality cables will seriously limit the cabling distance.
  4. AC input (100~240V/AC, 50~60Hz), for a max. consumption of 400W.

Mode/Reset Button

By pressing the Mode/Reset Button for certain periods, users can perform the following tasks:

Change LED Mode 0~2 Seconds On Green LED status will be changed according the mode selected
Restart the Switch 2~7 Seconds Blinking Green All LEDs Light OFF
Restore to Factory Default 7~12 Seconds Blinking Green All LEDs Light ON

LED Definitions

System

Green ON The switch is powered on and normal. Off when power is disconnected.
Red ON An abnormal state, such as exceeding operating temperature range.

Link/ACT/ Speed

Green Lit Green when displaying Link/ACT/Speed status of Ethernet ports (selected by the Mode button)

PoE

Green Lit Green when displaying the PoE link status with powered devices.

Port Status LEDs

Ethernet Speed

Green / Yellow Green when connection speed is 1Gbps. Yellow when connection speed is 10/100Mbps.

PoE (Link/ACT)

Green Green when PoE linked with powered device and supplying power to them.

SFP speed

Green/Yellow Green when SFP link is on 1Gbps. Yellow when SFP link is on 100Mbps.
