01 PRODUCT LIST

Please ensure that all accessories are present before installation and use.

• Trash Bag: Bags designed for the waste container.
• Odor Eliminator N50: A device for odor removal. Note: N50 Pet Odor Eliminator is not included in some versions.

• Cat Litter Remover: A tool to assist in emptying cat litter.

02 PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

A diagram of the PETKIT PURA MAX Self-Cleaning Cat Litter Box is shown with the following labeled components:

• Cylinder: The main rotating drum where litter is contained.
• Side Cover: A removable cover on the side of the unit.
• Litter Sifter: The internal sifting mechanism for separating waste.
• Proximity Sensor: A sensor located at the bottom front of the unit.
• Magnetic Side Cover: A side cover that attaches magnetically.
• Menu Button: A button for navigating device functions.
• OLED Display: A small screen displaying device status and options.
• Power Port: The input for the power adapter.
• Waste Container: The receptacle for collected waste.
• Container Lock: A latch mechanism for securing the waste container.
• OK Button: A button for confirming selections or actions.

03 PRODUCT INSTALLATION

3.1 Installing Waste Container

1. Open the latch to the right and pull out the waste container. Open its lid to take out any accessories inside. Diagram shows the waste container being unlocked and pulled out, with accessories being removed from its lid.
2. Spread the trash bag evenly and press it into the bottom of the waste container. Close the lid of the container.
   Note: The trash bag needs to be fastened by the two sides of the lid (as shown in Fig. 1). Fig. 1 shows the trash bag being inserted and secured under the lid flaps of the waste container.

3.2 Installing Odor Eliminator N50, Re-installing Waste Container, and Connecting Power

3. Take out the Odor Eliminator N50 and put it into the groove, then press the silicone lid to firmly close it. Diagram shows the Odor Eliminator N50 being placed into its designated slot and the silicone lid being pressed down.
4. Re-install the waste container to the main unit and close the latch. Diagram shows the waste container being pushed back into the main unit and the latch being moved to the locked position.
5. Take out the power adapter, insert it into the power port on the back of the main unit, and then plug it into a power outlet. Diagram shows the power adapter being connected to the back of the main unit and then plugged into a wall outlet.

3.3 Pouring Cat Litter

1. After plugging in and starting up, shortly press the Menu button (⚙️) to switch to "Maintenance Mode". Shortly press the OK button to activate the mode. Diagram shows a hand pressing the Menu button, then the OK button, with the display showing "Maint mode".
2. Pour in cat litter when the cylinder opening faces up and stays still. Shortly press the OK button to exit "Maintenance Mode". Diagram shows cat litter being poured into the open cylinder.
   Warning: Ensure that the amount of cat litter does not exceed the MAX line. The length of the cat litter selected must be shorter than 1.2cm, and the diameter less than 3mm.
3. Double click the OK button and the device automatically levels off the cat litter. Diagram shows a hand double-clicking the OK button, with the display showing "Level cat litter".

04 HOW TO USE

4.1 Operating Main Unit

Button Usage

• Long press ⏻: Turns the device on or off.
• Short press ⚙️: Switches between functions, and the screen will display the selected function.
• Short press OK: Executes the selected function.

Function Description (Icons replaced with text/symbols)

• Clean now ?: Initiates self-cleaning.
• Spray deodorization ?: Activates the deodorization function.
• Level cat litter ?: Levels the cat litter in the cylinder (recommended when adding cat litter daily).
• Reset cylinder ↩️: Resets the cylinder back to its original position.
• Maintenance mode ⚙️: Enters a mode for adding and cleaning cat litter.
• Connect to Wi-Fi ?: Used for connecting to Wi-Fi when binding the device to the PETKIT App.

4.2 Display Indication

Status Indication

• Light status: Indicates the device's operational status via an indicator light.
• Network status: Shows Wi-Fi connectivity (? symbol).
• Toilet Times ?: Displays the total number of times the cat has used the litter box during the day (e.g., 5 times).
• Add weight ⚖️: Shows the real-time weight of the cat in the litter box (e.g., 4.2kg).

Fault Indication

• Odor removal ⚠️: Indicates an issue with the odor purifier. Please check its installation.
• Litter Box status ❌: Indicates the cylinder knob is not in the locked position. Please turn the cylinder knob on the back of the main unit to the locked position.
• Cat is in the litter ❗: The device will automatically pause and alert when a cat approaches or enters the litter box during operation.
• Device failure ⚠️: Indicates a device malfunction. Check the detailed fault information in the PETKIT App.

4.3 App Binding and Activating

1. Download and install the App: Download the "PETKIT" App from the App Store (for iOS) or Android™ stores. A QR code is provided for easy app download.
2. Add the device: Open the downloaded "PETKIT" App and navigate to the home page. Tap the "+" button in the top right corner to add a new device. Select "PETKIT PURA MAX SELF-CLEANING CAT LITTER BOX" from the list. Screenshots illustrate the app interface for adding a device.
3. Start connection: Tap the Menu button on the device and switch to "Configure network". Tap the OK button to initiate the connection. The screen will display "Connecting...", and the App will start connecting to the device. Please wait until the configuration is successful. Screenshots show the app's device binding and Wi-Fi configuration screens.

4.4 Smart Control via App

1. Viewing device status: Click "PETKIT PURA MAX" on the device list on the home page to enter the device's home page and view its working status, toileting times of the day, and remaining cat litter. A screenshot of the PETKIT App's main device status screen is shown, indicating remaining cat litter, odor eliminator service life, waste container status, and toileting statistics.
2. Basic function description (via App icons):
   • Clean now ?: Cleans the litter box after the cat finishes toileting.
   • Maintenance mode ⚙️: Enters maintenance mode, leaving the cylinder opening facing up and stationary for easy cleaning and adding cat litter.
   • Empty cat litter ?️: Empties the remaining cat litter in the cylinder after installing the cat litter remover.
   • Smart settings ⚙️: Allows configuration of safety and cleaning functions.
   • Odor removal now ?: Initiates deodorization.
   • Light ?: Turns on the internal light to check the cat's condition or the inside of the cylinder. *PETKIT AIR PURIFIER SMART SPRAY needs to be purchased separately for enhanced odor removal.

4.5 Using Odor Removal Device

To bind the PETKIT AIR PURIFIER SMART SPRAY (optional choice), click "Bind Smart Spray" on the home page or "SUPER ODOR REMOVAL" in settings.

1. Odor removal: Odor removal is automatically performed after your cat toilets to keep the air fresh.
2. Light: The internal light can be turned on via the app to check the conditions of your cat or the inside of the cylinder.

4.6 Other Functions' Description

1. Kitten mode: This mode should be turned on if there are kittens or pregnant cats at home. When this mode is active, the device will not clean itself periodically or automatically. Waste is collected only by clicking "Clean now". A toggle switch labeled "Kitten protection" is shown, indicating that automatic or periodic cleaning will be disabled when enabled.
2. Rotation without interruption: When this function is off, the device will stop working if it senses a cat approaching. If the cylinder opening is facing down, other cats may enter the litter box, potentially causing secretions to leak into the bottom of the device, making it harder to clean. *When this function is on, the device will not stop working if it senses any cat approaching, which may reduce the possibility of a cat entering and its secretions leaking into the bottom of the device. A toggle switch labeled "Continuous rotation" is shown, indicating that the cylinder does not stop as it rotates from its initial position when enabled.

05 CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

For your cat's health, the cylinder needs regular disassembly to clean.

5.1 Emptying Cat Litter

Before cleaning, please empty the remaining cat litter in the cylinder.

1. Press the fasteners of the cat litter remover into the corresponding holes of the litter sifter. Upon hearing a "Click" sound, the installation is complete. Diagram shows the cat litter remover being attached to the litter sifter.
2. Tap "Empty cat litter" on the home page of the device to empty the remaining cat litter. Diagram shows a hand interacting with the "Empty cat litter" button on the device's control panel.
3. When emptying the remaining litter is done, pinch point A (as shown in the figure) to pull down the remover. Diagram shows a hand pinching a specific point on the litter remover to detach it.

5.2 Disassembling Cylinder

1. Lift upward to remove the side cover. *Note: Please be sure to turn off or unplug the device before removing the cylinder. Diagram shows the side cover being lifted off the main unit.
2. Disassemble lock components. Diagram shows the internal locking mechanism being rotated to unlock.
3. Lift upward to take down the cylinder. Diagram shows the cylinder being lifted out of the main unit.

5.3 Disassembling Litter Sifter

1. Open the side cover and grasp the litter sifter (as shown in Fig. 1). *Note: Please be sure to turn off or unplug the device before removing the cylinder. Fig. 1 shows a hand grasping the litter sifter inside the cylinder.
2. Press it inward (as shown in Fig. 2). Fig. 2 shows the litter sifter being pressed inward.
3. Make the sifter slightly bent and pull it out when it is off the buckle. Diagram shows the litter sifter being bent and pulled out from its secured position.

5.4 Cleaning Main Unit

1. Wash the cylinder and litter sifter, using moderate amounts of detergent and rinsing them thoroughly.
2. Use a wet towel to wipe the surface and interior of the main unit, ensuring the sensor remains clean.

5.5 Installing Litter Sifter

1. Secure the front side of the litter sifter into point a. Diagram shows the front part of the litter sifter being inserted into a specific point labeled 'a'.
2. Grasp the litter sifter and press it inward until it is slightly bent. Diagram shows the litter sifter being pressed inward to create a slight bend.
3. Secure the other side of the litter sifter into point b. Diagram shows the other side of the litter sifter being inserted into a specific point labeled 'b'.
4. If the litter screen is able to be shaken back and forth, the installation is complete.

5.6 Installing Cylinder

1. Re-install the cylinder. Diagram shows the cylinder being placed back into the main unit.
2. Secure the buckles of the cylinder and make sure they are firmly fastened. Diagram shows the buckles on the cylinder being secured.
3. Screw the side cover and re-install the magnetic side cover. Diagram shows the side cover being screwed back on and the magnetic side cover being re-attached.

09 USER SAFETY GUIDE

• Please install and use the product as instructed in this User Manual.
• Kittens under six months of age and cats weighing less than 1.5kg are not recommended to use this product.
• Do not expose the product to high temperature and humidity.
• The product is for indoor use only. Avoid direct sunlight exposure and keep it away from open flames.
• Although the device uses low voltages, a power cord chewed by pets can cause electrical leakage. Please ensure proper guidance for pets to use the product.
• Use only the original adapter to avoid device damage or safety hazards.
• Place the device on a level surface and prevent it from touching a wall.
• Do not lean the device against something else to avoid safety hazards.
• Do not immerse or soak the main unit bottom of the product in water.
• Lift and place the product gently when handling to protect the weight sensor at its bottom.
• If the product is not being used or moved for an extended period, it is recommended to unplug it.
• Children should use this product under the supervision and guidance of adults.
• Repairs should only be performed with professionals' guidance to avoid accidental damage.
• It is prohibited to place objects on the top of the device or press its top to prevent the device from operating improperly.
• Before leaving for an extended period, ensure sufficient cat litter in the box and space in the waste container.
