Product Overview

The MEAN WELL NDR-240 is an economical and slim 240W Din rail power supply series designed for installation on TS-35/7.5 or TS-35/15 mounting rails. Its 63mm width allows for space-saving within cabinets. The series features a full-range AC input from 90VAC to 264VAC and complies with BS EN/EN61000-3-2 for harmonic current regulation.

The NDR-240 is equipped with a metal housing for enhanced power dissipation and offers up to 90% efficiency, allowing operation in ambient temperatures from -20°C to 70°C under air convection. It includes constant current mode for overload protection, making it suitable for various inductive or capacitive applications. The power supply meets complete protection functions and relevant industrial certifications (UL508, TUV BS EN/EN62368-1, etc.), positioning it as a competitive power supply solution for industrial applications.

Derating Curve

The derating curve shows the relationship between ambient temperature and the load percentage. The power supply can operate at 100% load up to 50°C, after which the load capacity decreases linearly to 0% at 70°C.

Output Derating VS Input Voltage

The output derating versus input voltage graph indicates that the power supply maintains 100% output load across the entire input voltage range of 90VAC to 264VAC at 60Hz.

Note on Installation Clearances:

Notes

  1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated load and 25°C of ambient temperature.
  2. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1 µF & 47 µF parallel capacitor.
  3. Tolerance: includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.
  4. Derating may be needed under low input voltage. Please check the derating curve for more details.
  5. The power supply is considered a component which will be installed into a final equipment. The final equipment must be re-confirmed that it still meets EMC directives. For guidance on how to perform these EMC tests, please refer to "EMI testing of component power supplies." (as available on https://www.meanwell.com//Upload/PDF/EMI_statement_en.pdf)
  6. The ambient temperature derating of 3.5°C/1000m with fanless models and of 5°C/1000m with fan models for operating altitude higher than 2000m(6500ft).
