Diagrams and Mechanical Information
Mechanical Specification
Illustrates the physical dimensions and mounting interface for the power supply. It shows a unit designed for installation on standard DIN rails, specifically TS35/7.5 or TS35/15. The diagram indicates the width (35mm), height (90mm), and depth (100mm) of the unit, along with terminal block connections for AC input (L, N, FG), DC output (+V, +V, -V, -V), and a DC OK signal output.
Block Diagram
Depicts the internal functional blocks of the power supply. The signal path starts with the AC input, which goes through an EMI Filter. This is followed by a Rectifier & Filter stage, then the Power Switching stage, and finally another Rectifier & Filter stage before reaching the DC Output. Control circuitry, Overload Protection (O.L.P.), Over Voltage Protection (O.V.P.), and a Detection Circuit for DC OK status are also shown integrated within the system. The diagram also indicates the switching frequency (fosc: 60KHz).
DC OK Relay Contact
This feature provides a relay contact that indicates the status of the power supply unit (PSU).
- Contact Close: Indicates the PSU is turned on and the DC output is OK.
- Contact Open: Indicates the PSU has turned off or there is a DC Fail condition.
- Contact Ratings (max.): 30V / 1A resistive load.
Derating Curve
This graph illustrates the power derating based on ambient temperature. It shows that the power supply can operate at 100% load up to an ambient temperature of 45°C. Beyond 45°C, the load capacity decreases linearly, reaching 0% load at 70°C. The temperature axis ranges from -20°C to 70°C (vertical).
Output Derating VS Input Voltage
This graph shows how the output load capacity varies with the input AC voltage. The power supply maintains 100% load capacity across a wide input voltage range, approximately from 95VAC to 264VAC at 60Hz. Below 95VAC, the load capacity begins to derate. The input voltage axis ranges from 85VAC to 264VAC.
Notes
- 1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated load and 25°C of ambient temperature.
- 2. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1 μF & 47 μF parallel capacitor.
- 3. Tolerance: includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.
- 4. The power supply is considered a component which will be installed into a final equipment. The final equipment must be re-confirmed that it still meets EMC directives. For guidance on how to perform these EMC tests, please refer to "EMI testing of component power supplies." (as available on meanwell.com).
- 5. Length of set up time is measured at first cold start. Turning ON/OFF the power supply may lead to increase of the set up time.
- 6. The ambient temperature derating of 3.5°C/1000m with fanless models and of 5°C/1000m with fan models for operating altitude higher than 2000m(6500ft).
