User Manual

General

The Stone 1000 is IPX-5 water and dust resistant. To ensure your Stone 1000 is prepared for use in a wet environment, remove all cable connections and tightly close the lid. If the water lid is not properly closed, the speaker will not be water resistant.

Charging

Before using your Stone 1000, please charge it using the micro USB charging cable included in the package. Most USB chargers are compatible with Stone 1000. For optimal AC charging please use a 1.0A USB charger. Plug the small micro USB pin into the charger port on the side of the speaker and the other end of the cable (the standard USB 2.0 plug) into any standard USB port (such as a computer or USB charger).

The LED light will automatically glow indicating charging mode. When it is fully charged, the LED indicator light will turn off. A full charge takes about 4 hours. The speaker can be charged while playing music. The battery of the speaker will be charged until the charging process completes.

Pairing

Turn your speaker on. The Bluetooth LED indicator on the control panel will flash blue. Enable your Bluetooth device such as cell phones, tablets or other Bluetooth media and make sure it is in searching mode. Select "boAt Stone 1000 speaker" in the list shown in the Bluetooth device.

Note: If your Bluetooth device version is below V2.0, please enter password "0000" for a connection. The speaker will automatically reconnect to the last connected Bluetooth enabled audio device.

Hands-Free Speakerphone

You can use Stone 1000 as a portable speakerphone for incoming calls when connected wirelessly and outgoing calls via Bluetooth. Take your calls by pressing the [play/pause] button. Press once again for ending the call, double press [play/pause] button to reject an incoming call. Music will resume automatically. To make a call, simply dial your cell phone and talk through the speaker. Once your call is connected, choose Stone 1000 in the headset options.

Controlling System

The Stone 1000 features a central control panel and indicator lights:

• Charging Indicator: A light indicating the charging status.
• Charging Port: Micro USB port for charging the device.
• Aux Port: 3.5mm audio input for wired connections.
• Switch BT and Aux in: Button to switch between Bluetooth and Aux-in modes.
• [Next Track / Volume Up]: Press and hold for 1 second to increase volume. Press for 1 second to skip to the next track.
• [Power / Play/Pause / Answer Call]: Press to turn the device on/off. Press to answer or end a call. Press to play or pause music. Double press to reject an incoming call.
• [Previous Track / Volume Down]: Press and hold for 1 second to decrease volume. Press for 1 second to go to the previous track.

Specifications

Note: Do not expose the built-in battery to excessive heat, including direct sunlight and fire. This speaker is in compliance with the specified BT version; it does not guarantee compatibility of all functions on every BT enabled device. Please check with your mobile phone for compatibility and functionality.

Operation Instruction

Volume Adjustment

At any time during a phone call or while playing music, the volume can be changed with the [plus] or [minus] button. To raise the volume, press and hold the [plus] button for 1 second. To lower the volume, press and hold the [minus] button for 1 second. There will be a tone from the speaker to indicate that the level has reached maximum or minimum volume.

Changing Tracks

Simply press the [next] or [previous] button for 1 second on the Stone 1000 to change tracks.

Play and Pause

Press the [play/pause] button on the speaker's control board to play or pause the music.

Mode Switch Button

Press the "M" button to disconnect or connect Bluetooth connection. Press the "M" button to switch modes (BT, Aux In).

Troubleshooting

Unable to pair with a Bluetooth device:

• Check that you do not have an audio cable connected to the Aux in socket.
• Ensure that you are within range of the wireless speaker for wireless functionality (10 meters or less / 33 feet or less).
• Check that the device you are attempting to pair with supports A2DP stereo audio transmission.

Fire and Electric Shock Hazard

• Do not expose your Stone 1000 to extremely high or low temperatures.
• Do not leave your Stone 1000 in direct sunlight for extended periods of time.
• Do not leave your Stone 1000 near open flames such as cooking burners, candles, or fireplaces.
• Do not block any ventilation openings.

Battery/Charger Hazard

• Do not dispose of your Stone 1000 in a fire. The battery could explode causing injury or death.
• Only charge the battery in accordance with the user instructions supplied with the Stone 1000.
• Do not attempt to disassemble the Stone 1000 charger or force open the built-in battery because this may result in electric shock.
• Do not clean the Stone 1000 when it is being charged. Always unplug the charger first before cleaning the Stone 1000.

Automobile Accident Hazard

• Do not leave or store the Stone 1000 or any of its accessories near or over your automobile's air bag because serious injury may result when an air bag deploys.

CAUTION

• Do not use abrasive cleaners to clean your Stone 1000 because this could cause scratches and damage.
• Do not bring your Stone 1000 into contact with any sharp objects because this could cause scratches and damage.
• Do not insert anything into your Stone 1000 unless otherwise specified in the user instructions. This may damage the internal components.
• Do not attempt to repair, modify, or disassemble your Stone 1000 yourself; it does not contain any user-serviceable components.
• Do not attempt to replace your Stone 1000 battery; it is built-in and is not changeable.
• Observe all signs and displays that require an electrical device or RF radio product to be switched in designated areas.
• Turn off your Stone 1000 prior to boarding an aircraft. Do not use Stone 1000 inside an aircraft unless allowed by your airline.
• Dispose of the Stone 1000 and the Stone 1000's battery in accordance with local regulations. Do not dispose of the battery with regular household waste.
