Chapter 3: Services and Applications
3.1 Data Service
3.1.1 Wireless Modem
The E5577Cs-321 can function as a wireless modem when Wi-Fi is enabled. Users can utilize default settings or configure APN via the E5577Cs-321 Web page to establish a wireless network connection and access the Internet. A maximum of ten wireless users can connect to the E5577Cs-321 simultaneously. The device supports the access point (AP) function for WLAN.
Figure 3-1: Multi-device access via Wi-Fi and USB at the same time - Diagram illustrating multi-device access via Wi-Fi and USB simultaneously. It shows the E5577Cs-321 connected to a PC via USB and wirelessly to multiple devices (laptop, smartphone, tablet).
3.1.2 USB Modem
After connecting the E5577Cs-321 to a PC with a USB data cable, the Web page is automatically displayed on the PC desktop. Users can directly use default settings (or configure APN on the E5577Cs-321 Web page) to set up a network connection. This allows sending/receiving emails, accessing the network wirelessly, and downloading files through wireless data channels.

3.1.3 LTE/3G/Wi-Fi Auto Offload
The E5577Cs-321 enables Internet access via LTE, 3G, or Wi-Fi. When used in areas with a Wi-Fi hotspot (e.g., airports, cafes, hotels, or homes), the E5577Cs-321 automatically switches to Wi-Fi connection, saving LTE/3G network traffic fees. When this function is enabled, a maximum of nine wireless users can access the E5577Cs-321 simultaneously.
Figure 3-3: LTE/3G/Wi-Fi auto offload - Diagram illustrating LTE/3G/Wi-Fi auto offload. It shows an Internet source connecting to a Wi-Fi hotspot, which then connects to the E5577Cs-321. The E5577Cs-321 is shown connecting to devices via Wi-Fi, and also has LTE/3G connectivity.
3.2 SMS
The E5577Cs-321 supports writing, sending, and receiving messages. Users can manage messages through the Web page, including accessing an inbox, outbox, and drafts.
