Assembly Steps
Follow these steps carefully to assemble your MALM dressing table.
Step 1
Attach the base panel to the two side panels using four screws (113453). Ensure the panels are correctly oriented.
Step 2
Attach the drawer slide components to the inside surfaces of the side panels using screws (100349). Pay attention to the correct placement as indicated in the diagrams.
Step 3
Insert wooden dowels (101353) into the pre-drilled holes on the edges of the panels that will connect.
Step 4
Assemble the main frame by connecting the side panels to the base and back support panels using screws (114254) and cam locks (122998). Rotate cam locks to secure the connections.
Step 5
Attach another horizontal panel to the frame using screws (153548), likely forming part of the drawer support structure.
Step 6
Attach metal brackets (106989) to the frame using screws (100823) and nuts (109049). These brackets are often for structural support or wall attachment.
Step 7
Carefully place the top surface (often a glass panel) onto the assembled frame. Ensure it is aligned correctly.
Step 8
Secure the top surface to the frame using brackets (10003193) and screws (109560).
Step 9
Attach the side panels to the underside of the top surface using screws (109560).
Step 10
Attach the drawer runners (118331) to the inside of the side panels where the drawers will slide, using screws (101345).
Step 11
This step appears to be a continuation of drawer runner attachment or a similar small component installation.
Step 12: Wall Anchoring
It is crucial to secure the furniture to the wall to prevent tip-over. Use the provided wall anchoring hardware. The screws and plugs supplied can be used with most solid (A) and hollow (B) walls. For solid wood (C), use the screws without plugs.
- Type A (Solid Walls): Drill a hole (Ø 8 mm), insert a plug, and secure with a screw.
- Type B (Hollow Walls): Drill a hole (Ø 8 mm), insert a plug, and secure with a screw.
- Type C (Wood): Drill a hole (Ø 3 mm) and secure directly with a screw.
If you are uncertain about your wall type, seek professional advice.
Step 13
Attach brackets (106989) to the frame using screws (100823) and nuts (109048). These are likely part of the drawer slide mechanism or support.
Step 14
Assemble the drawer box components. Attach drawer runners (118331) to the drawer side panels using screws (113453).
Step 15
Insert wooden dowels (101345) into the pre-drilled holes on the drawer components.
Step 16
Connect the drawer side panels to the drawer base or front/back panels using screws (110630).
Step 17
Attach the drawer bottom panel to the assembled drawer frame using screws (105344).
Step 18
Attach the drawer front panel to the drawer box using the provided brackets (152123) and screws.
Step 19
Carefully slide the assembled drawer into the main frame of the dressing table.
Step 20
Attach the final drawer runners (110519) to the drawer box sides using screws (110519).
Step 21
Secure the drawer runners to the drawer box with screws (105344).
Step 22
Insert the fully assembled drawer into the main body of the dressing table. Ensure the runners engage correctly.
Step 23
Make any final adjustments to the drawer alignment or movement using the adjustment screws (109558) on the drawer runners.
