Recharging the Radio
Note: Use one of the following methods when the battery power indicator LED blinks or the battery is low.
Via USB/AC Adapter
Use the supplied USB to Micro USB cable to connect to a USB socket on a computer, tablet, or USB power supply. Alternatively, use a compatible AC adapter with a Micro USB connector (not supplied) plugged into an AC outlet. Connect the Micro USB end to the radio. The battery power icon and CHARGE LED indicator will show charging status. Charging time is approximately 2 hours. Reduced power, distortion, or stuttering sounds indicate the battery needs recharging. A fully charged battery provides approximately 10 hours of playback.
Via Dynamo Power
Ensure the telescopic antenna is in the rest position. Take the Dynamo power handle from its rest position. Rotate the handle approximately 120 rotations per minute (clockwise or counter-clockwise) until the charging LED indicator appears red. One minute of charging provides approximately 5-7 minutes of listening time. Return the handle to its rest position after charging.
Via Solar Power
Important: The radio does not need to be switched on for the solar panel to operate.
Position the radio in direct sunlight so the solar panel receives maximum exposure. The more direct sunlight, the more electricity generated. Adjust the position for maximum brightness of the CHARGE indicator LED. Full charge takes approximately 15 hours under direct sunlight.
Note: Best performance is achieved when the sun is directly overhead and unobstructed. In poor light conditions, the solar panel may not be effective and should be considered a supplementary energy source. It charges only under natural sunlight, not artificial light. Do not attempt to charge using sun-lamps, as this can cause irreversible damage and void warranties.
