Mesh Intercom Antenna Installation
Gently pull the Mesh Intercom Antenna outwards to unfold it for optimal reception.
Icon Legend
- Tap button/Jog Dial the specified number of times.
- Rotate Jog Dial clockwise (right) or counterclockwise (left).
- Rotate while Pressing Jog Dial clockwise (right) or counterclockwise (left).
- Audible prompt indicates system feedback.
Basic Operations
- Powering On: Hold the Jog Dial for 1 second.
- Powering Off: Tap the Phone Button once.
- Volume Up: Rotate the Jog Dial clockwise (Right).
- Volume Down: Rotate the Jog Dial counterclockwise (Left).
Phone Pairing
When the SPIDER ST1 is powered on for the first time or after a factory reset, it automatically enters phone pairing mode.
To cancel phone pairing, press any button.
On your smartphone, select SPIDER ST1 from the list of detected Bluetooth devices.
Using the Phone
- Answer a Call: Tap the Phone Button once.
- Reject a Call: Hold the Phone Button for 2 seconds.
- End a Call: Tap the Phone Button once.
- Call a Voice Assistant: Tap the Phone Button once.
Music Control
- Play/Pause music: Hold the Jog Dial for 1 second.
- Track Forward: Rotate the Jog Dial clockwise (Right).
- Track Backward: Rotate the Jog Dial counterclockwise (Left).
Mesh Intercom™
Open Mesh™: Enables communication within the same channel.
Group Mesh™: Enables communication within a private group.

Mesh Intercom On
Tap the Mesh Intercom Button once. The LED will blink green, and you will hear an audible prompt.
Mesh Intercom Off
Tap the Mesh Intercom Button twice. The LED will blink red, and you will hear an audible prompt.
When Mesh Intercom is on, the SPIDER ST1 connects to nearby SPIDER ST1 users and defaults to Open Mesh on channel 1.
Open Mesh Channel Setting
The default channel for Open Mesh is channel 1.
- Entering Channel Setting: Tap the Mesh Intercom Button twice.
- Navigating Channels: Rotate the Jog Dial clockwise (Right) or counterclockwise (Left) to cycle through channels.
- Saving the Channel: Tap the Jog Dial once to save the selected channel. You will hear an audible prompt confirming the channel number.
Channel selection can also be managed via the Sena Motorcycles App.
Group Mesh
Group Mesh is a closed group intercom feature allowing users to join, leave, or rejoin conversations without re-pairing.
1) Creating a Group Mesh
Requires two or more users in Open Mesh.
- All users (e.g., You, B, and C) enter Mesh Grouping mode by holding the Mesh Intercom Button for 5 seconds.
- Upon completion, users will hear a voice prompt indicating the switch from Open Mesh to Group Mesh. The system visually represents this transition from individual users in Open Mesh to a unified Group Mesh.
2) Joining an Existing Group Mesh
One user from an existing Group Mesh can invite new users from Open Mesh.
- An existing user (You) and new users (e.g., D and F) in Open Mesh enter Mesh Grouping mode by holding the Mesh Intercom Button for 5 seconds.
- The new users will hear a voice prompt confirming their entry into the Group Mesh.
Enable/Disable Mic
(Default: Enable) Users can toggle the microphone on or off during Mesh Intercom communication.
Mesh Reach-Out Request
Send a request to nearby users to enable their Mesh Intercom.
- Enable Mesh Reach-Out in the Sena Motorcycles App to send or receive requests.
- While Mesh Intercom is active, send a request using the headset's Button or the Sena Motorcycles App.
- Recipients must manually enable their Mesh Intercom via the headset button or the app.
Reset Mesh
Resetting the Mesh will return all connected headsets to Open Mesh mode, defaulting to channel 1.
Configuration Menu
Accessing the Configuration Menu
Hold the Jog Dial for 5 seconds.
Navigating Between Menu Options
Rotate the Jog Dial clockwise (Right) or counterclockwise (Left) to move through menu options.
Execute Menu Options
Tap the Jog Dial once to select and execute a menu option.
Troubleshooting
Factory Reset
Hold the Phone Button for 10 seconds to perform a factory reset. The headset will announce "Factory reset" and then "Good-bye".
Fault Reset
Use a paperclip or similar tool to press the reset button located in the small hole on the device. This will restart the device.
Note: A Fault Reset does not restore the headset to factory default settings.
