PLANET MTB-Series 10G Module
10GBASE-LR/SR/BX/T Modules
The PLANET MTB family of 10G SFP+ fiber optic modules are designed to work with PLANET products featuring 10G SFP+ interfaces, providing high-performance 10G Ethernet networking for enterprises, telecoms, and ISPs. These modules are also suitable for data center cloud computing. The deployment distance can be extended from 300 meters (multi-mode, LC) to up to 60 kilometers (single-mode, LC).
The MTB-T series 10GBASE-SR/LR/BX transceivers are designed for industrial Ethernet fiber solutions, operating reliably in electrically harsh, climatically demanding environments with operating temperatures ranging from -40 to 75 degrees C. These transceivers offer easier and faster connectivity compared to 1000BASE-SX/LX/BX counterparts.
The 10GBASE-T SFP+ Copper Transceiver is specifically designed for high-speed communication links requiring 10 Gigabit Ethernet over Cat 6a/7 cable. It offers 10Gb/s communication over fiber optic media.
Interoperability with legacy Ethernet equipment through auto-negotiation is a key feature, enabling data centers to expand without additional expenses. This is further enhanced by backward compatibility with legacy networks, utilizing the standard RJ45 connector.

Applications
The 10Gbps SFP+ modules can be installed into PLANET products with 10G SFP+ interfaces, such as the PLANET ENW-9801 PCI-e NIC card. The 10G SFP+ slots of the ENW-9801 are hot-pluggable and hot-swappable, allowing modules to be inserted and removed without powering off the PC.
Example Usage:
- MTB 10GBASE-SR/LR/BX mini-GBIC Module (30m~60km): Can be used with devices like the PLANET ENW-9801 PCI Express Server Adapter.
- MTB 10GBASE-T Mini-GBIC Module (30m): For copper-based connections.
- Industrial Equipment: The MTB-T series 10GBASE-SR/LR/BX transceivers are suitable for industrial equipment operating in a wide temperature range (-40 to 75 degrees C), supporting deployment distances from 300m (multi-mode) to 10/20/40/60 kilometers (single-mode).
