Product Overview
The ATEN VM5404HA / VM5808HA 4x4 / 8x8 HDMI Matrix Switch with Scaler transmits HDMI audio/video signals from 4 or 8 HDMI sources to 4 or 8 HDMI displays, offering high application flexibility. Users can control the devices through various methods, including front panel buttons, RS-232, and Telnet/Web GUI. The VM5404HA / VM5808HA also supports the ATEN Matrix Music Control App, allowing users to view device status and control them. This switch can be integrated into ATEN's control system for centralized monitoring and management of ATEN matrix switches and third-party devices (e.g., projectors, lighting, audio equipment) over a network. The front panel LCD provides efficient status monitoring of all connected ports. A local HDMI output port allows for real-time monitoring of multiple sources on a single display.
The VM5404HA / VM5808HA is designed for video wall applications. ATEN's proprietary Seamless Switch technology, built on an FPGA matrix architecture, provides continuous video sources, instant switching, and stable signal transmission. The built-in scaler converts various video resolutions to the optimal resolution for the display device, ensuring the best visual comfort. To prevent screen tearing, the VM5404HA / VM5808HA uses FrameSync technology to synchronize frame rates between input and output signals.
For audio functionality, the switch supports Audio De-embedding, allowing audio to be extracted from HDMI sources and converted to stereo audio output, enhancing installation flexibility. The VM5404HA / VM5808HA is a matrix HDMI video switching solution suitable for any scenario requiring customized, real-time transmission of signals from multiple audio/video devices to multiple displays, including control rooms, server rooms, and various video wall applications.

Note:
- When Seamless Switch is enabled, video output devices will not support 3D, Deep Color, or interlaced scanning (e.g., 1080i) resolutions. To use these features, disable Seamless Switch.
- If the display extends beyond the screen boundaries when using Seamless Switch™ or Video Wall features, adjust the display settings on the monitor.
