The SUNDVIK extendable bed frame from IKEA is designed to grow with your child. This document outlines the assembly process, including all necessary parts and steps.

Assembly Steps

Step 1

Connect two main side panels. Insert wooden dowels (101359, 8x) and cam lock bolts (121122, 2x) into the designated holes. Attach cam lock nuts (128406, 14x) to secure the panels.

Step 2

Attach the headboard/footboard frame pieces to the assembled side panels. Use screws (106918, 2x) and cam lock mechanisms.

Step 3

Attach the remaining headboard/footboard frame pieces to the other end of the side panels using screws (106918, 2x) and cam lock mechanisms.

Step 4

Continue securing the main bed frame structure. Insert screws (106918, 4x) and use cam lock mechanisms as shown.

Step 5

Attach the central support beams. Insert wooden dowels (101359, 4x) and secure with screws (101350, 4x).

Step 6

Attach additional structural components to reinforce the frame. Use screws (106918, 2x) and cam lock mechanisms.

Step 7

Insert wooden dowels (101359, 2x) into the main frame. Align and attach the side rails to the frame.

Step 8

Secure the frame further by inserting screws (106918, 2x) and using cam lock mechanisms.

Step 9

Attach the plastic feet (128546, 4x) to the bottom of the bed frame legs using a hammer ?.

Step 10

Attach the second main side panel to the headboard/footboard structure, completing the basic frame. Use screws and cam lock mechanisms.

Step 11: Extending the Bed Frame

To extend the bed, insert screws (105106, 4x) into the designated holes on the extending side rails. Use the Allen key (100001) to tighten these screws. This action allows the bed to be adjusted to different lengths.

Step 12

Insert wooden dowels (101350, 2x) into the extending side rails.

Step 13

Attach the plastic feet (128546, 2x) to the ends of the extending side rails using a hammer ?.

Step 14

Attach the headboard/footboard to the extended frame. Insert wooden dowels (101359, 2x) into the frame and align the headboard/footboard pieces.

Secure the extended frame structure. Use screws (106918, 2x) and cam lock mechanisms as shown.

Step 16

Insert plastic caps/plugs (117096, 4x) into any visible holes for a finished look.

Step 17: Installing the Slatted Bed Base

Place the LURÖY slatted bed base onto the assembled frame. Ensure it is positioned correctly and securely. ⚠️ Handle with care.
