Important Safety Instructions
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
When using an electrical appliance, some basic safety precautions must be observed. These include the following instructions:
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THIS DEVICE
- This device is suitable for use by children aged 8 years and above, or by persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, provided they are supervised or instructed on the safe handling of the device and understand the associated hazards. Children must not play with the device. Cleaning and user maintenance must not be carried out by unsupervised children.
- Clear the area to be cleaned. Remove power cords and small objects from the floor that the device could get entangled in. Tuck rug fringes under the rug and ensure that curtains, tablecloths, etc., do not hang down to the floor.
- If there are steps or stairs in the area to be cleaned, the device must be operated in such a way that it recognizes the step without falling over the edge. It may be necessary to install a physical barrier at the edge to prevent the device from falling. Ensure that the physical barrier does not create a tripping hazard.
- Use the device only as described in this instruction manual. Use only recommended or manufacturer-offered accessories.
- Ensure that the voltage of the power source matches the mains voltage indicated on the rating plate of the docking station.
- Use the device EXCLUSIVELY for INDOOR household use. Do not use the device outdoors or for commercial or industrial applications.
- Use only the original rechargeable battery and docking station supplied by the manufacturer with the device. Non-rechargeable batteries are not permitted.
- Do not use the device without the dustbin or filter.
- Do not use the device in areas where there are burning candles or fragile objects.
- Do not use the device in extremely hot or cold environments (below -5 °C/23 °F or above 40 °C /104 °F).
- Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and other body parts away from any openings and moving parts.
- Do not use the device in rooms where babies or children are sleeping.
- Do not use the device on wet surfaces or on surfaces where water is standing.
- Ensure that the device does not pick up larger objects such as stones, large pieces of paper, or other objects that could clog the device.
- Do not use the device to pick up flammable or combustible materials such as gasoline, printer or copier toner, and avoid areas where these materials may be present.
- Do not use the device to pick up cigarettes, matches, hot ash, or other burning, smoldering, or fire-causing objects.
- Do not insert the mentioned objects into the suction port. Do not operate the device with a clogged suction port. Keep the suction port free of dust, lint, hair, or other materials that obstruct airflow.
- Ensure that the power cord is not damaged. Do not pull or carry the device or docking station by the power cord, do not use the power cord as a handle, do not pinch the power cord in a closed door, and do not pull it over sharp edges or corners. Ensure that the device does not run over the power cord. Keep the power cord away from hot surfaces.
- If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its customer service to prevent any hazards.
- Do not use the docking station if it is damaged. The power supply must not be repaired or reused if it is damaged or defective.
- Do not use the device or docking station if the power cord or socket is damaged. Do not use the device or docking station if it does not function properly, has been dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or come into contact with water. If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its customer service to prevent any hazards.
- Turn off the device before cleaning or maintenance (Power Switch OFF).
- Before cleaning or maintaining the docking station, the plug must be removed from the socket.
- Remove the battery before disposing of the device. To do this, remove the device from the docking station and turn it off (Power Switch OFF).
- Before disposing of the device, the battery must be removed and disposed of in accordance with local laws and regulations.
- Used batteries must be disposed of in accordance with local laws and regulations.
- Do not incinerate the device, even if it is severely damaged. The batteries can explode in a fire.
- If the docking station is not used for a long time, it must be disconnected from the mains.
- Always use the device in accordance with the instructions in this manual. Our company assumes no liability for injuries and damages resulting from improper use.
- The robot contains batteries that may only be replaced by trained personnel. For battery replacement or removal, please contact customer service.
- If the robot is not used for a long time, turn it off for storage. Also, disconnect the docking station from the mains.
- WARNING: Use only the detachable power adapter supplied with the device to recharge the battery.
Keep these instructions.
Proper Disposal of this Product
This symbol indicates that the product must not be disposed of with household waste throughout the EU. Recycle the device responsibly to support the sustainable reuse of materials and prevent potential environmental or health damage from uncontrolled waste disposal. For recycling your used device, use the appropriate return and collection systems, or contact the dealer where you purchased the device. They can dispose of the product safely.

2. Operation and Programming
2.1 Before Cleaning
- Place furniture like chairs in their designated spots within the cleaning area.
- It may be necessary to install a physical barrier at the edge of a step to prevent the device from falling.
Remove items like cables, cloths, slippers, etc., from the floor to improve cleaning efficiency.
Fold the edges of fringed rugs before using the device.
Please avoid narrow spaces like hallways and ensure the robot is not blocked.
2.2 Quick Guide
- Remove protective material. (Diagram shows removal of tape/foam from the robot and docking station).
- Install Side Brushes. (Diagram shows attaching the side brushes to the robot's underside).
2.3 Charging the Robot
- Docking Station Setup: (Diagram shows placement of the docking station with required clearances: >0.5m/1.64ft on the sides, >1.5m/4.92ft in front).
- Turn on the Device: (Diagram shows the power switch on the robot. Note: The robot cannot be charged when it is turned off.)
- Charging the Robot: The [power] button blinks when the robot is charging. The [power] button light turns off when the robot is fully charged. Charging Time: ≥ 3.5-4.5 hours. (Diagram shows robot on dock with charging indicator). Note: It is recommended not to pick up or move the robot during cleaning so that it can successfully return to the charging station.
2.4 Lefant Life App
To utilize all available functions, it is recommended to control your robot via the Lefant Life App.
Before you begin, ensure:
- Your mobile phone is connected to a Wi-Fi network ?.
- The 2.4 GHz band Wi-Fi signal is enabled on your router.
Download and Install the App:
- Option 1: Scan the QR code on the device with your phone and follow the instructions.
- Option 2: Open the App Store or Google Play on your phone, search for 'Lefant Life App', and download it.
Add Device and Pair Network via App: On the home screen, select <Add Device> and follow the in-app instructions. Open the <Lefant Life> app and log in (new users must register first). Select <Add Device> on the home screen. Then, pair the network according to the detailed instructions in the app.
Reset the Device: If a network pairing error occurs, reset the device. 1. Turn on the power switch on your robot. 2. Press the [button] button on your robot for 3 seconds to enter EZ Network Pairing Mode (the robot will beep once). Press for another 3 seconds to enter AP Network Pairing Mode (the robot will beep twice).
Indicator Light Notes:
- Waiting for connection:
- EZ Mode: Blue light blinks rapidly.
- AP Mode: Blue light blinks slowly.
- Connection / Wi-Fi Connection: Solid blue light.
Important Notes:
- This device only supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi (not compatible with 5 GHz Wi-Fi).
- If a network pairing error occurs, restart the robot and try again. Alternatively, try the other network pairing method (tap in the top right corner).
- Requires iOS 9.0 or higher / Android 4.0 or higher.
2.5 Getting Started with Cleaning
Monitor the robot during the first cleaning and assist with any issues.
- Cleaning in AUTO Mode: The robot cleans in a programmed pattern, designed for hard floors by default. (Diagram shows a back-and-forth cleaning pattern).
- Return to Charging Station: (Diagram shows the robot moving towards the docking station).
2.6 Mopping Function
Notes:
- Do not use the mopping function on carpets.
- Clean the mop cloth every 60 minutes to ensure cleaning effectiveness.
- Please remove the wiping cloth holder before charging the robot.
Using the Mopping Function:

Maintenance:

3. Maintenance
3.1 Regular Maintenance
To ensure maximum robot performance, perform maintenance tasks and component replacements according to the following frequencies:

Turn the robot OFF ⏻ and disconnect the docking station from the power supply before performing cleaning or maintenance.
A multifunction cleaning tool is provided for easy maintenance. Handle this tool with care as it has sharp edges.
Note: We offer various spare parts and accessories. Contact customer service for more information on replacement parts.
3.2 Dustbin
⚠️ Warning: Do not use water to clean the dustbin and filter materials!

3.3 Direct Suction Port and Side Brushes

4. Status Indicators and Alarm Tones

4.2 Alarm Tones
If the robot detects a malfunction, an alarm tone will sound, and the START/PAUSE button will blink or light up RED.

Helpful Hints: If problems cannot be resolved by the measures described above, please try turning the main power switch back on under the cover to restart the device.
5. Troubleshooting
5.1 Troubleshooting

5.2 WLAN Connection
Before WLAN setup, ensure the robot, mobile phone, and WLAN network meet the following requirements.
Requirements for Robot and Mobile Phone:
- The robot is fully charged and the robot's power switch is turned on.
- The robot is ready for network setup.
- Turn off the mobile phone's mobile data (you can turn it back on after setup).
Requirements for WLAN Network:
- Use a 2.4 GHz or a mixed 2.4/5 GHz network.
- Your router supports 802.11b/g/n and the IPv4 protocol.
- Do not use VPN (Virtual Private Network) or a proxy server.
- Do not use a hidden network.
- Use WPA and WPA2 with TKIP, PSK, or AES/CCMP encryption.
- WEP EAP (Enterprise Authentication Protocol) is not supported.
- Use Wi-Fi channels 1-11 in North America and channels 1-13 outside North America (for details, please consult the local regulatory authority).
- If using a network extender/booster, the network name (SSID) and password must be identical to your primary network.

- If the product is not packaged appropriately for transport.
- Use of parts that do not comply with product instructions.
- Use of parts and accessories not manufactured or recommended by our company.
- Use in a commercial environment, as the product is intended for private use only.
- Consequential and incidental damages.
- All products purchased from unauthorized dealers/resellers.
- Products used outside the country of purchase.
- Lost and/or stolen products.
