Step 3: Power on the Camera and Format the Memory Card
Connect the camera to a power source, such as the car cigarette lighter, using the provided car power connector. Parking Monitor (Parking Surveillance Mode)
The Parking Monitor provides surveillance for your vehicle while parked. When the engine is off, the hardwire kit supplies continuous power, protecting your car battery from discharge.
Option 1: Vibration Detection
To enable the Parking Monitor using vibration detection, you must connect it with a Smart Hardwire Kit.
[Diagram showing a hardwire kit connection: Switched Fuse, Hot Fuse, Ground.]
This feature allows the dash cam to automatically switch to parking mode when the vehicle's engine turns off and return to normal recording when the engine is turned back on.
Gravity Sensing Record:
The Gravity Sensing feature detects significant or sudden movements (like impacts or collisions), triggering an event recording. For optimal performance in Parking Mode, it is recommended to set "Gravity Sensing" to High sensitivity.
Note: If you do not use the parking mode function, please set the Gravity Sensing sensitivity to low. Otherwise, videos may be easily locked and cannot be deleted by the loop recording function, potentially filling the memory card with locked videos and causing the recorder to malfunction.
Please DO NOT ENABLE the Parking Monitor function without connecting a smart hardwire kit, as this may cause a malfunction.
Option 2: Motion Detection
To utilize motion detection, connect the dash cam with a Rexing Intelligent Hardwire Kit (sold separately). Ensure that the Parking Mode is turned OFF on your dash cam to prevent malfunctions.
Once the sensor detects motion, the intelligent hardwire kit will automatically power up the dash cam and begin recording until the motion is no longer detected.
