Grounding Instructions:
This product must be grounded. Grounding provides a path of least resistance for electrical current to reduce the risk of electric shock. The product is equipped with a cord having an equipment-grounding conductor and a grounding plug. The plug must be plugged into an appropriate, properly installed, and grounded outlet in accordance with all local codes and ordinances.
DANGER: Improper connection of the equipment-grounding conductor can result in a risk of electric shock. Check with a qualified electrician or serviceman if you are in doubt. Do not modify the plug; if it will not fit the outlet, have a proper outlet installed by a qualified electrician.
The product uses a nominal 120-volt circuit and has a grounding plug (Sketch A). A temporary adapter (Sketches B & C) may be used to connect to a 2-pole receptacle if a properly grounded outlet is not available, but only until a properly grounded outlet can be installed. The adapter's green-colored ear or lug must be connected to a permanent ground, such as a properly grounded outlet box cover, and secured with a metal screw.
WARNING: This product is equipped with a thermal resetting protection device. If the product stops suddenly and will not start, turn the main power switch OFF and do not operate for at least 30 minutes. Failure to turn off may result in unexpected starting when the product cools.

Take a Seat: Operation
Using your Human Touch iJoy massage chair is easy!
- Plug it in: Plug the power cord into a grounded power source.
- Child safety lock: Ensure the child safety lock is set to 'Unlock' [Open]. Setting it to 'Lock' [Closed] prevents the power switch from being turned on. Keep it locked when unattended to prevent children from using the chair.

- Get comfortable: While seated, adjust the backrest by pulling the backrest handle up. Lean backward or forward to find a comfortable position, then release the handle.
Take Control: Using the Remote
The remote control allows you to customize your massage experience. When changing backrest direction, a slight pause is normal as the chair's gears shift.
- Power Button (⚡): Indicates the master power switch is ON.
- Stop Button (⏹️): Stops the massage and parks the massage rollers at the top of the backrest.
- Position Buttons: Use these buttons with any massage technique to target the massage to a specific area of your back. You can press them before or after selecting a massage technique.
- Zone Button: Targets your massage to a six-inch zone. Use the Position buttons to focus the massage.
- Massage Programs: Select from three auto massage programs (Full, Upper, Lower) that massage a specified area for 15 minutes using various techniques. Corresponding LEDs on the remote indicate the active mode.
Massage Techniques:
Choose from a variety of massage techniques to suit your mood:
- Percussion: Alternates rapid-tapping strokes along the spine, emulating sports medicine techniques for deep muscle therapy. Benefits: Flexes spinal joints, relieves pressure on the spinal column, invigorating the entire back area.
- Compression: Applies pressure using alternating strokes and a gentle rocking motion, emulating techniques used in sports medicine and by chiropractors. Benefits: Spreads and puts pressure on deep muscle tissue, forcing it to relax, while the rocking motion loosens spinal joints. Aids muscle and joint repair and can improve mobility and posture.
- Kneading: Kneads your back in small, circular motions on both sides of your spine simultaneously. Benefits: Relieves tension and soreness by lifting and stretching muscles, improves circulation, and brings vital nutrients to the spinal area.
- Rolling: Rolls gently up and down your back near your spine. Benefits: Warms and loosens muscles, preparing your back for deeper massage. Relieves muscle tension, improves circulation, and relaxes the back.
Customize Massage Intensity
The massage-softening pad softens the massage intensity. For a stronger massage, remove the pad.
- Flip the head pillow over the headrest to the back of the chair.
- Open the horizontal zipper [?] on the front of the backrest.
- Insert or remove the massage-softening pad as desired.
- Close the zipper [?].
- Flip the head pillow back to the front of the chair.
Replacement massage-softening pads are available from Human Touch for an additional charge.
Your chair may have zippers secured with a plastic security tie. Cut the tie carefully with nail clippers or a similar instrument, taking care not to cut the upholstery.
