Introduction
Replacing the roller brush can help improve the suction and movement of the vacuum.
Tools Needed:
- Metal Spudger
- Phillips #1 Screwdriver
- iFixit Opening Tool

Step 1: Roller Brush Belt
The vacuum cleaner is laid down by hand to locate the roller brush underneath. The accompanying image shows the underside of the vacuum cleaner, with the roller brush assembly clearly visible.
Step 2
The process involves using a metal spudger to carefully detach the wheels from the roller brush housing. The images illustrate inserting the spudger between the wheel and the plastic body, then prying the wheel outwards.
Insert the metal spudger between the inside side of the wheel and the plastic body.
Push the metal spudger away from you to pop the wheels out.
Repeat the step to remove the other wheel on the other side.
Step 3
Six 15mm screws securing the roller brush housing are to be removed using a PH1 screwdriver. The image highlights these screws on the underside of the vacuum cleaner.
Remove the six 15mm screws using the PH1 screwdriver.
Step 4
A blue fulcrum mechanism, connecting the bottom and main body of the vacuum cleaner, is manipulated back and forth. This action is designed to loosen the crevice between the two halves of the roller brush enclosure. The images show hands performing this manipulation.

Step 6

Step 7
The roller brush is slightly lifted upwards. Subsequently, one side of the black roller brush belt is pulled off the end of the roller brush with the other hand. The images depict these actions.
Lift the roller brush slightly upwards using your hand.
Take one side of the black roller brush belt off by pulling it over the end of the roller brush with your other hand.
Step 8
The roller brush belt is removed by sliding it off the end of the motor. The image shows the belt being detached from the motor.
Remove the roller brush belt with your hands by sliding it of the end of the motor.
Step 9: Roller Brush
The roller brush is removed from the plastic frame by lifting it away. The document concludes by stating that to reassemble the device, users should follow these instructions in reverse order. The images show the roller brush being lifted out.
