Ubiquiti UniFi Gate Hub Installation Guide
This guide provides instructions for installing and setting up the Ubiquiti UniFi Gate Hub for automated gate control.
System Overview
The UniFi Gate Hub is designed to manage gate access, integrating with gate operator control boards and various accessories.
Gates that Close Manually: The system can control gates that operate manually.
The Gate Hub connects to a Gate Operator Control Board, which is supplied by the gate manufacturer.
The Gate Operator Control Board features terminals for:

- SIDE DOOR EXIT REQUEST

Installation Steps
Step 1: Mounting Bracket Installation
The Gate Hub includes a mounting bracket (labeled 'b').
Mark the desired mounting location on a wall using a pencil.
Drill pilot holes using a drill bit of Ø6 mm (Ø1/4").
Attach the mounting bracket to the wall using M4 screws (2x labeled 'c', 2x labeled 'd').
Step 2: Mounting the Gate Hub
The Gate Hub (labeled 'a') is powered via PoE++.
Connect the Gate Hub to the PoE++ power source.
Mount the Gate Hub onto the installed bracket.
Step 3: Connecting Gate Operator
Connect the Gate Hub to the Gate Operator Control Board. Specific wiring details depend on the gate manufacturer's board.
The diagram shows the Gate Hub connected to the Gate Operator Control Board, which is part of the gate mechanism.
Step 4: Connecting External Power and Siren
Connect external power (12-24 V, <1 A) if required by the setup.
Connect a siren to the Gate Hub for audible alerts.
Step 5: Network Integration
The Gate Hub connects to the network via a UniFi Cloud Gateway and switching infrastructure.
The network path is typically: UniFi Cloud Gateway → Switching → PoE++ Injector/Switch → Gate Hub.
The Gate Hub requires internet connectivity for full functionality.
Step 6: Mobile App Setup
Download the UniFi Access mobile application from the App Store or Google Play Store.
Use the app to configure and manage the Gate Hub and access control.
