Always read the instruction manual before first use and keep it for future reference. Disconnect the appliance from the power supply when not in use, before assembly, disassembly, or cleaning. Never immerse the appliance or motor block in water. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children. This appliance is not intended for use by persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience, unless supervised. Hot surfaces and steam can cause burns; handle with care, using gloves or oven mitts if necessary. Be cautious of sharp blades when cleaning or emptying the bowl.
⚠️ WARNING: The appliance emits steam that can cause burns. Handle the lid and cap with caution. Do not operate if seals or drive shafts are not correctly positioned. Ensure the steam regulator cap is properly fitted.
⚠️ WARNING: Be vigilant when pouring hot liquids, as sudden boiling can cause ejection. Certain foods with skins or large pieces of meat may cause splattering of boiling liquids; pierce them before cooking.
⚠️ WARNING: Residual heat may be present on the heating element after use. Only touch the appliance's handles.
Do not operate if the appliance is damaged or malfunctioning. Use only authorized service centers for repairs. This appliance is designed for domestic use only, at altitudes below 2000m. Commercial or improper use may void the warranty.
The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.
Getting Started and Operation
Before first use, clean all removable parts with warm soapy water. Ensure all packaging is removed. Assemble the lid, seals, and drive shaft correctly. Place the chosen accessory into the bowl, then add ingredients. Position the lid, aligning the triangles, and lock it by turning. Place the steam regulator cap on the lid. Finally, place the bowl onto the motor base until it clicks. The appliance will only start if the bowl and lid are correctly positioned and locked.
The appliance features a lid locking safety mechanism that prevents opening during operation. A 10-second countdown appears on the screen before the lid can be opened after certain operations.
The control panel buttons illuminate when they can be used. The central button has multiple functions depending on the stage of the recipe.
First Use: Upon first use, you will be guided through setting your country and language. An internet connection is recommended for full functionality, including access to all recipes, updates, and app features. You can connect via Wi-Fi by selecting your network and entering the password.

Programs and Manual Mode
The i-Companion Touch XL offers 14 automatic programs for various cooking tasks, including Sauce, Stew, Soup, Steam, Dough, Dessert, and Reheat. Each program has pre-set speeds, temperatures, and times that can be adjusted. After some programs, the appliance automatically enters a keep-warm mode for 45 minutes.
Manual Mode: Allows users to customize speed, temperature, and cooking duration for their own recipes. The appliance includes stability control to prevent motor damage.
Steam Cooking: When using the steam basket (E5), ensure the correct water level (0.7L) is in the bowl and the steam regulator cap (D1) is set to "max" for optimal steam circulation. The "mini" setting on the cap is for reducing condensation and improving texture in dishes like risotto or sauces.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Clean the bowl immediately after use. The motor block (A) should only be wiped with a damp cloth. The bowl, lid assembly, and most accessories are dishwasher safe, except for the drive shaft and locking ring. For stubborn stains, soak parts in warm soapy water. Avoid abrasive cleaners or sponges that could scratch surfaces.
Important: Ensure electrical contacts under the bowl are clean and dry before use.

Solutions often involve checking component placement, adjusting settings, reducing ingredient quantities, or allowing the appliance to cool down.
Error Codes: Specific error codes (e.g., SECU, ERR39, ERR21) indicate particular problems that require specific troubleshooting steps, often involving power cycling the appliance or contacting customer service.
