Congratulations on purchasing the LogiLink ET0008!

Please read the instructions and safety warnings carefully before using the product for the first time. Failure to do so may result in damage to the device.

Device Overview and Buttons

The digital time switch features an LCD screen and several control buttons.

  • 1 Clock mode: Displays current time and date.
  • 2 V+: Increase value button.
  • 3 SET: Setup button for entering settings.
  • 4 Λ-: Decrease value button.
  • 5 RESET: Resets the device to default settings.
  • 6 C.D.: Activates the Count-Down mode.
  • 7 RND: Activates the Random mode.
  • 8 ON/OFF: Turns power on/off manually or switches to Auto mode.
  • 9 S: Daylight Saving icon, appears when Daylight Saving is active.
  • 10 Day indicators: MO (Monday), TU (Tuesday), WE (Wednesday), TH (Thursday), FR (Friday), SA (Saturday), SU (Sunday).

Note: Do not plug multiple devices in a row into each other.

Connection Diagram Description: The diagram shows the ET0008 time switch plugged into a standard wall socket. A lamp is then plugged into the time switch's socket, illustrating its function in controlling the lamp's power.

Clock Setting

Setup the Time/Date in Clock Mode

When connecting the ET0008 for the first time, set the current time and date.

  1. Press the SET button. The "WEEK" indicator on the LCD screen will flash. Use the V+ or Λ- buttons to select the current day of the week (Monday to Sunday).
  2. Press SET again. The "HOUR" indicator will flash. Use V+ or Λ- to select the current hour (0-12 or 0-23 hours).
  3. Press SET to continue to the minute setting. Use V+ or Λ- to select the current minute (0-59 minutes).
  4. Press SET to save the time setting.

Tip: During setting, press and hold V+ or Λ- for 3 seconds to accelerate the value change.

To return to Clock mode from any other mode, press the CLOCK button.

Switching 12/24-Hours Display

  1. In "CLOCK" mode, press and hold the CLOCK button for 3 seconds. "AM/PM" will appear in the top left corner of the LCD screen, indicating 12-hour mode.
  2. Press and hold the CLOCK button for 3 seconds again. "AM/PM" will disappear, indicating 24-hour mode.

Daylight Saving Function

  1. In "CLOCK" mode, press the ON/OFF and C.D. buttons simultaneously. A "S" icon will appear on top of the "seconds" display, and the time will advance by 1 hour.
  2. Press the ON/OFF and C.D. buttons again to return to the initial time.

Timer Setting

All timer functions operate only in AUTO mode. You can switch to AUTO mode by pressing the ON/OFF button while in CLOCK mode.

Note: When "Count-Down" or "Random" modes are activated, programmed schedules will be disabled.

Programming Schedules

You can set up to 20 schedules (ON and OFF times) or enter the Count-Down mode.

  1. In "CLOCK" mode, press the V+ or Λ- button to cycle through schedule settings ("1 on", "1 off", "2 on", "2 off", ..., "20 on", "20 off") or to enter the Count-Down mode ("d on" or "d off").
  2. To program schedule "1 on": Press the SET button. The "WEEK" indicator will flash. Use V+ or Λ- to select the day(s) for this schedule. The display cycles through:
  • MO TU WE TH FR SA SU (All days)
  • MO TU WE TH FR SA (All days except Sunday)
  • MO WE FR SU (Specific days)
  • TU TH SA (Specific days)
  • MO TU WE TH FR (Weekdays)
  • SA SU (Weekend)
  • MO WE FR (Specific days)
  • TU TH (Specific days)
  1. Press SET to set the "hours" for the ON time.
  2. Press SET again to set the "minutes" for the ON time.
  3. Press SET to save the "1 on" schedule.
  4. Press the V+ button to enter the "1 off" schedule. This determines when schedule "1" turns the power OFF. Repeat steps 2 to 5 to set the OFF time and days.
  5. After setting all desired schedules, press the CLOCK button to return to "CLOCK" mode. Ensure the device is in AUTO mode to activate the schedules.

You can clear or reset any schedule by pressing the ON/OFF button when that schedule is displayed.

Maximum 20 schedules can be programmed.

Count-Down Mode

Use the Count-Down mode for temporary operation without altering programmed schedules.

Note: The Count-Down mode works only in AUTO mode, and all 20 programmed schedules are disabled.

  1. In "CLOCK" mode, press the V+ or Λ- button until "d on" or "d off" is displayed.
  2. d on: Turns power on immediately and turns it off when the countdown finishes.
  3. d off: Turns power on when the countdown finishes and stays on until manually turned off.
  4. Press the SET button. "d on" or "d off" will flash. Use V+ or Λ- to switch between these two modes.
  5. Press SET to set the "hours" for the countdown (0-99 hours).
  6. Press SET to set the "minutes" for the countdown (0-59 minutes).
  7. Press SET to set the "seconds" for the countdown (0-59 seconds).
  8. Press SET to finish the countdown setup.
  9. Ensure the device is in AUTO mode, then press the C.D. button to activate the countdown.

Pressing the C.D. button during an active countdown will stop it and return the device to its initial setting value.

Random Mode

Activate Random mode for varied ON/OFF times within a specific period.

  1. In "CLOCK" mode, press the ON/OFF button to switch to AUTO mode.
  2. Press the RND button to activate Random mode. An "R" icon will appear on top of the "seconds" display.

This mode is effective from 18:00 (6:00 PM) to 6:00 AM. During this period, the power will turn on for 15-30 minutes and then turn off for 45-60 minutes. This cycle repeats.
