Instruction Manual
1. Commissioning
Place the scale on a secure, flat surface.
Adjust the unit (g ➞ kg ➞ lb:oz ➞ oz).
2. Weighing / Additional Weighing
Place the item to be weighed on the scale.
Position the container.
Tare the scale (zero out the weight of the container).
Weighing large objects: With HOLD function, the last measured value is displayed.
Automatic Switch-off
The scale switches off automatically after approximately 120 seconds.
3. Troubleshooting
Problem: Empty battery.
Problem: Maximum weighing capacity exceeded (max. 15 kg / 33 lb).
Important Instructions
- Capacity: max. 15 kg (33 lb), Graduation: 1 g (0.1 oz).
- Protect the scale from impacts, moisture, dust, chemicals, strong temperature fluctuations, and proximity to heat sources (ovens, radiators).
- Cleaning: Clean with a damp cloth, possibly with a little dish soap. Never immerse the scale in water or rinse under running water.
- Strong electromagnetic fields (e.g., mobile phones) may affect accuracy.
- The scale is not intended for commercial use.
- Repairs must only be performed by Beurer Customer Service or authorized dealers.
- Sensor buttons react to conductive objects. If placing conductive objects (e.g., metal, water-filled container) on the scale, keep clear of sensor buttons or place a thick mat between the scale and the object.
Disposal
- Batteries: Spent batteries do not belong in household waste. Dispose of them via your electrical retailer or local collection point. Note: Batteries containing hazardous substances are marked with Pb (lead), Cd (cadmium), Hg (mercury).
- Appliance: Dispose of the appliance according to Directive 2012/19/EC – WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment). Contact local authorities for disposal queries.
- Dispose of packaging in an environmentally friendly manner [recycling symbol].
Warranty and Service
- Beurer provides a 5-year warranty from the date of purchase for material and manufacturing defects.
- The warranty does not apply to:
- Damage due to improper operation.
- Wear parts.
- Customer's own fault.
- Tampering by unauthorized workshops.
- Statutory customer rights remain unaffected. Proof of purchase is required for warranty claims.
- Repairs do not extend the warranty period.
- Liability for direct or indirect consequential damages caused by the unit is excluded.
