1. Getting Started
Battery Insertion
Insert batteries or remove the insulating strip.
(Diagram description: A CR2032 battery is shown, with an arrow indicating insertion into a compartment. A hand is shown removing an insulating strip.)
Placing the Scale
Place the scale on a secure, flat surface.
(Diagram description: A scale is shown placed on a flat, level floor.)
Unit Switching
Scales can be switched to alternative units of measurement.
Units: KG, LB, ST. Graduation: 0.1 kg / 0.2 lb / 1 lb.
2. Weighing
Weighing Process
Step onto the scale. Stand still whilst being weighed. Do not move during the measurement.
(Diagram description: A person stepping onto the scale. Another diagram shows a person standing still on the scale with the weight displayed. A third diagram shows the scale automatically turning off after approximately 10 seconds.)
Note for First Use and Relocation
When first using the scale or after moving it to a new location, it may be necessary to reset it.
(Diagram description: A scale with a warning symbol and an information symbol.)
3. Error Messages
Battery Status
The scale displays "Battery empty" or a similar message when the battery needs replacement.
(Diagram description: A scale displaying "Err" and a battery symbol. A CR2032 battery is shown.)
Capacity Exceeded
The scale displays "Maximum weight capacity exceeded" or a similar message if the maximum load is exceeded.
Maximum load: 180 kg (396 lb / 28 st).
(Diagram description: A scale displaying "max 180 kg".)

Notes on Handling Batteries
- Insertion: Always insert batteries correctly, observing polarity (+/-). Keep batteries clean, dry, and away from water. Always select the correct battery type.
- Short-circuiting: Never short-circuit batteries or battery compartment contacts.
- Charging/Modification: Never charge, forcibly discharge, heat, disassemble, deform, encapsulate, or modify batteries. Never weld or solder on batteries.
- Mixing: Never mix batteries of different manufacturers, capacities (new/used), sizes, or types within the same device.
- Explosion Risk: Failure to comply can lead to personal injury, overheating, leakage, venting, breakage, explosion, or fire.
- Leakage: If a battery leaks, wear protective gloves and clean the compartment with a dry cloth. If fluid contacts skin or eyes, wash with water and seek medical attention.
- Swallowing Risk: Keep batteries out of children's reach. Seek immediate medical attention if swallowed.
- Children: Never allow children to replace batteries without adult supervision.
