Introduction
This manual provides instructions for the Beurer GS 400, GS 405, and GS 410 SignatureLine glass bathroom scales. The scales are designed for accurate weight measurement and feature a modern glass design.
1. Getting Started
Battery Installation
EN: Insert batteries or remove insulating strip. Ensure correct polarity (+/-).

2. Operation
Weighing
EN: Step onto the scale. Stand still whilst being weighed. The weight will be displayed.
Safety Warning: ⚠️ Danger of slipping! Do not step onto the scale with wet feet. ⚠️ Danger of tipping! Do not step onto the outermost edge on just one side.
Unit Selection
EN: Scales can be switched to alternative units of measurement (KG/LB/ST).

4. Safety Information
General Safety

Battery Handling
- If battery fluid contacts skin or eyes, flush the affected area with water and seek medical assistance.

- Observe polarity (+/-) markings.
- If a battery leaks, wear protective gloves and clean the battery compartment with a dry cloth.
- Protect batteries from excessive heat.

- Do not charge or short-circuit batteries.
- Remove batteries if the device is not used for a long period.

- Dispose of used, completely discharged batteries through designated collection points or electronics retailers. Proper disposal is legally required.
- Batteries containing harmful substances are marked with: Pb = contains lead, Cd = contains cadmium, Hg = contains mercury.
- For environmental protection, do not dispose of the device with household waste at the end of its life. Dispose of the unit at a suitable local collection or recycling point in accordance with the WEEE directive. Contact local authorities for disposal questions.
5. Cleaning and Care
EN: Clean the scale with a damp cloth, applying a little washing-up liquid if necessary. Never immerse the scale in water or rinse it under running water.
EN: Protect the scale against shocks, moisture, dust, chemicals, drastic changes in temperature, electromagnetic fields, and sources of heat that are too near.

6. Warranty and Service
EN: Beurer GmbH provides a 5-year worldwide warranty for this product, subject to the conditions described. This warranty does not affect the seller's statutory warranty obligations. Beurer guarantees perfect functionality and completeness.
