Eaton EMI Meter Series
The most flexible way to measure energy
Eaton Metering Solutions
Introduction to the EMI Meter Series
Measurement is the basis for every energy management system. Eaton offers the EMI meter series for flexible energy measurement.
The EMI meter series offers absolute flexibility with its double assembly capability, allowing the removable display to be used on both the front and back. It can be mounted on a DIN rail or in a control panel with dimensions of 72x72 mm or 96x96 mm (with an optional cover).
Enhanced flexibility is achieved with the new Rogowski coil series, ideal for retrofitting. These air coils connect directly to the meter without an intermediate amplifier, offering advantages over conventional current transformers.
Current transformers with secondary currents of 1 A or 5 A can also be used. Eaton's T-Line current transformers range from 30 A to 5000 A with accuracy classes from 0.2s to 3. More information is available at www.eaton.com/meter.

Wiring Diagrams
The document provides comprehensive wiring diagrams to illustrate various connection configurations for the EMI Meter Series across different electrical systems. These diagrams cover:
3-Phase Systems
- Self Power Supply (3P.n): Diagrams show connections for 3-phase, 4-wire unbalanced loads using 3-CTs (Fig. 1) and for 3-phase, 4-wire unbalanced loads with 3-CTs and 3-VT/PTs (Fig. 2).
- System Type Selection (3P): Illustrates 3-phase, 3-wire unbalanced loads with 3-CTs (Fig. 3), 3-CTs and 3-VT/PTs (Fig. 4), 3-CTs and 2-VT/PTs (Fig. 5), 2-CTs (ARON) (Fig. 6), 2-CTs and 3-VT/PTs ARON (Fig. 7), and 2-CTs and 2-VT/PTs ARON (Fig. 8).
- Self Power Supply (3P.1): Depicts 3-phase, 3/4-wire balanced loads with a 1-CT connection (Fig. 9).
