Main power connections are typically made to terminals 1L1, 3L2, 5L3 for input and 2T1, 4T2, 6T3 for output, connecting to a 3-phase motor (M).

Mounting Position: The device can be mounted vertically or horizontally with a maximum tilt of 15 degrees in any direction.
Drilling Pattern: Specific drilling patterns and dimensions are provided for mounting based on frame size (FS1-FS4), requiring M5 or M8 screws. Clearances are required between starters and from solid surfaces.
Cooling: The device requires adequate ventilation. Operating temperature range is -25°C to +60°C (-13°F to +140°F), with derating above 40°C (104°F).
Wiring and Connections
Terminal Connections:
- Input Power: 1L1, 3L2, 5L3.
- Output Power: 2T1, 4T2, 6T3.
- Wire Size and Torque: Refer to specifications for appropriate wire gauges (e.g., 6-70 mm², AWG10-2/0) and torque settings (e.g., 4 Nm, 40 Nm) for different frame sizes.
Installation Types:
- In-line Installation: Standard wiring configuration for connecting the soft starter between the power supply and the motor.
- Inside Delta Installation: Wiring configuration for motors connected in a delta configuration.
Control Inputs (DC and AC):
- DC Input (24V DC): Terminals [1] for Start/Stop, [2] for Enable/Reset, [3] for Digital Input 3 (default: Cmd Override: Terminal), [4] for Digital Input 4 (default: Ext. Fault NO), [Ti+, Ti-] for Motor thermistor input.
- AC Input (110-240V AC): Similar control input functions are available.
- Relay Outputs: Terminals [13, 14] for Main Contactor Output, [23, 24] for Relay Output 2 (default: Bypassed), [33, 34] for Relay Output 3 (default: Fault).
- Communication: [A, B, COM] for Modbus RTU.
Attention: Default control source is keypad. For terminal control, use Digital Input 3 or change parameter P1.4. Default PIN for parameter access is 000000.
Installation Steps
Detailed installation steps are provided for Frame Size 3 and Frame Size 4, including:
- Mounting the device using specified screws and torque settings (e.g., ≤0.7 Nm, ≤2.5 Nm).
- Ensuring correct clearances (e.g., ≤25 mm, ≥15 mm, 11 mm, 13 mm, 17 mm, 27 mm).
- Connecting power and control wiring according to diagrams.
The S711 Connect App interface includes controls for Ready, Run, Trip, Local BLE, Reset, Remote, Back, and OK functions.
