Preparation and Tools

Ensure you have a stable Wi-Fi connection (2.4GHz recommended) and a smartphone or tablet (iOS or Android) for the setup process.

Required Tools (if mounting)

If you choose to mount the Beagle device using the included bracket, you may need:

• Phillips head screwdriver
• Drill with appropriate drill bits (for wall mounting)
• Pencil (for marking drill points)

Installation Steps

Follow these steps carefully to install your Beagle device:

1. Unpack and Inspect: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Check each item against the "What's Included" list. Contact Puckipuppy support if any items are missing or damaged.
2. Choose Installation Location: Select a suitable location for your Beagle device. For optimal performance, ensure it is within range of your Wi-Fi router and has access to a power outlet. Avoid placing it near large metal objects or sources of interference.
3. Mount the Device (Optional):

   If mounting, hold the bracket against the desired surface and mark the screw holes with a pencil. Drill pilot holes if necessary. Secure the bracket using appropriate screws (not supplied). Then, attach the Beagle device to the bracket until it clicks into place.

4. Connect Power: Plug the small end of the power adapter into the power port on the Beagle device. Plug the other end into a standard wall electrical outlet.

7. Configure Device via App:

   Open the Puckipuppy Connect app. You will be prompted to create an account or log in. Follow the on-screen instructions to add your new Beagle device. This process typically involves:

   • Enabling Bluetooth and Location Services on your smartphone.
   • Selecting "Add New Device" within the app.
   • The app will scan for nearby devices. Select your Beagle device from the list.

   • Enter your Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password when prompted.

Troubleshooting

Encountering an issue? Refer to these common solutions:

Problem: Beagle device does not power on.

Solution: Ensure the power adapter is securely plugged into both the Beagle device and a working electrical outlet. Try a different outlet. Check if the status indicator light illuminates when the power button is pressed.

Problem: Cannot connect to Wi-Fi network.

Solution: Double-check your Wi-Fi password for accuracy. Ensure your Beagle device is within the optimal range of your Wi-Fi router. Try restarting your Wi-Fi router and then the Beagle device. Verify you are connecting to a 2.4GHz network if required.

Problem: Puckipuppy Connect app cannot find the Beagle device during setup.

Solution: Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone/tablet. Ensure the Beagle device is powered on and in pairing mode (indicated by a specific status light pattern). Try closing and reopening the app.

Problem: Device status light is blinking red.

Solution: A red blinking light often indicates a connection error. Review the Wi-Fi connection troubleshooting steps.
