Launch the Lockly app, select "ADD NEW DEVICE", and choose your device. Alternatively, manually enter the Activation Code under the "Other" menu. For remote access, configure WiFi connection in the Lockly app settings.

3.2 Connect to the HomeKit (For iOS users)

With Visage turned on, use the "Apple Home" app on your iOS device and tap "+". Select "Add Accessory". Alternatively, open the Lockly app, go to the lock's homepage, open the settings bar, and choose "Connect with HomeKit". Scan or manually enter the setup code found inside the battery cover on the interior assembly of the lock. Follow the prompts in the Home app to complete setup.

To connect to HomeKit, you need an Apple TV (4th gen with tvOS 12.0+), an iPad (iOS 12.0+), or a HomePod as a home hub.

4. Adding Users

Add and manage access codes and NFC keys via the Apple Home app or the Lockly app. Manage administrators, access codes, fingerprints, RFIDs, or eBadges, and user access privileges.

After connecting the lock to the Lockly app, go to the lock's page, select Permissions, tap Add User, enter the user's name and type, then press Next to add access codes, fingerprints, RFIDs, or eBadges.

4.1 Access Code

Select "Add Access Code" and follow prompts. Enter a 6-8 digit access code twice, then click Confirm. The Administrator can set up to 52 access codes. The default access code (123456) becomes invalid after a new code is set.

To view or edit a user's access code, click on the user in the list.

To enter an access code: Slide your hand across the screen to activate the keypad. Enter your 4 to 8 digit access code, followed by the OK button. Press OK to reset if you enter a wrong digit.

If the code is correct, the door unlocks. If incorrect, Lockly flashes a red light.

After 10 consecutive wrong access codes, the lock enters 'Safe Mode' for 30 minutes, deactivating the keypad. Entering more than 20 wrong codes within an hour is not allowed. Use other unlocking methods (fingerprint, RFID, mobile app, home key, or physical key) to bypass restrictions. 'Safe Mode' turns off upon successful unlock.

4.2 Adding Fingerprints

Register up to 99 fingerprints. Follow app prompts to add a fingerprint. Lightly place your finger on the sensor until you hear a beep. Lift and repeat until "12" on the screen turns to "1". "PASS" will display if successful; "FAIL" if not. Return to the previous menu and rescan if "FAIL" is displayed.

To view or edit a user fingerprint, click on the user in the list.

To unlock with fingerprint: Gently place the registered finger on the fingerprint reader. A green light indicates correct recognition and unlocks the door. A red light means you need to adjust your finger's position and try again.

Tips for better fingerprint recognition:

4.3 Adding Facial Recognition Profile

Register up to 100 facial profiles. Stand directly in front of the lock, 1.3-3.3ft away, facing the sensor. Follow app prompts to scan and register your face.

To view or edit a user facial profile, click on the user in the list.

The radar sensor displays blue light and performs facial recognition when someone approaches. A red light indicates a need to adjust distance or ensure no obstructions on your face. You can disable this feature in the Lockly app.

Tips on Facial Profile Registration:
1. Ensure suitable lighting; avoid overly bright light.
2. Adjust distance to ensure the sensor clearly captures your face.
3. Ensure no excessive hair, hats, or other items cover key facial features (especially around the eyes).
4. Clean the sensor area regularly if smudged.
5. When battery is below 20%, facial recognition radar auto-shuts off. Manually touch the screen to awaken it.

4.4 Adding Apple Home Key (For iOS Users)

After pairing with HomeKit, a virtual card appears in your Apple Wallet app. Bring your iPhone or Apple Watch close to the lock's keypad to unlock as an NFC device.

Note: iPhone must be running iOS 15.0+; Apple Watch must be running watchOS 8.0+.

4.5 Adding RFIDs

1. Select "Add RFID". The keypad displays a numerical sequence. Place the RFID in the reading area.

2. If successful, the keyboard displays "PASS" and a long beep. The display exits and shows the PIN Genie screen. If unsuccessful, "FAIL" is displayed, and the screen closes with two beeps. Return to the previous menu and try again.

Place the registered RFID in the center of the screen. A green light unlocks the door. An unregistered RFID shows a red light.

Tips on Using RFIDS:
1. Ensure the screen is illuminated and place the RFID within 1 cm of the reading area.
2. Avoid bending the RFID or placing it in a strong magnetic environment, as this could damage the internal RFID chip.

5. Locking your Lockly Visage

Lock your Lockly Visage using these methods:

  1. Press the OK button [OK Button Symbol] on the screen when the door is closed, or swipe your hand across the screen to lock when it's off.
  2. The smart lock can also auto-lock based on your settings in the Lockly app.
  3. When the door is closed, rotate the thumb turn on the interior assembly to manually lock.
  4. Insert the physical key and rotate to lock.

6. Entering Programming Mode

To enter Programming Mode, remove the battery cover from the interior assembly. Press the Program button to initiate programming. To exit, press the Program button again. The system also exits automatically if the keypad is inactive for over 30 seconds.

After entering Programming Mode, the keypad screen should resemble the one shown.

Programming Mode Options:
Number | Mode
1 | 8L Pairing Bluetooth
2 | RE Reset

Tap "BL" to enter Bluetooth pairing mode (refer to Section 7 for re-pairing). Tap "RE" to reset the lock to factory settings (refer to Section 8 for factory reset instructions).

7. Pairing to a New Mobile Device

To pair your smart lock with a new mobile phone, download the Lockly app on the new device and log in with the same account credentials. Follow the app prompts to complete the process.

If pairing with a new Lockly app account:

  1. On the old Lockly app account, go to Settings > Reset and pairing > Perform Factory Reset.
  2. Download, register, and log in to the new Lockly app account.
  3. Scan the ACTIVATION CODE* that comes with the lock to set up the new account. Refer to Section 3 to pair Visage on the new Lockly app account.
