2. Preparing Your Omni C20
2.1 Important Tips Before First Use
- Remove power cords, small objects (socks, toys, slippers, towels), and weighing scales from the floor that may entangle the robot.
- Fold tasseled edges of rugs underneath to prevent tangling. Avoid cleaning high-pile rugs or rugs thicker than 0.98 in / 25 mm.
- Before mapping, place physical barriers in front of fireplaces and air vents to prevent damage. Use the eufy app to set virtual boundaries for staircases.
- Avoid vacuuming large amounts of water.
- Remove objects less than 0.7 in / 18 mm in height that the robot may climb on.
- Anti-drop sensors may be less effective if dirty or used on carpeted/reflective floors.
2.2 Install the All-in-One Station
Place the station against a wall on a hard, level surface with a strong Wi-Fi signal and easy robot access. Recommended clearances: 1.6 ft (0.5m) on sides, 4.9 ft (1.5m) in front.
- Plug the station into a wall outlet. The LED ring in the clean water tank will light up red if it needs water.
- Ensure the station is always plugged in for successful infrared connection.
- Take out the clean water tank and add clean water up to the MAX line. Do not use hot water.
2.3 Charge Your Robot
- Remove any foam blocks, stickers, and protective films from the robot.
- Attach the robot to the base station. It will power on automatically. Ensure it is fully charged before first use. You will hear a voice prompt "charging" upon successful docking.
3. Using Your Omni C20
3.1 Download the App
- Download the eufy Clean app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android), or visit: https://dl-eufy.eufylife.com/qcdl/index.html?flow=eufy
- Open the app and create a user account.
- Tap "Add Device" / "+" to add your robot.
- Follow in-app instructions to set up Wi-Fi connection.
The app allows you to select cleaning modes, suction power, schedule cleaning, view status, receive notifications, and access additional features. Use "Find My Robot" in the app if the robot gets stuck.
3.2 Reset the Wi-Fi Connection
If you encounter connection issues, press and hold the power and recharge buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds until you hear a voice prompt. The robot's LED indicator will flash white. Follow in-app instructions to reset the Wi-Fi connection.
3.3 Mapping
This feature helps the robot learn your home's layout for efficient and systematic cleaning. Follow these steps for optimal mapping:
- Open all doors within the cleaning area.
- Block off restricted areas or hazardous zones with physical barriers. Virtual boundaries can be set in the app later.
- Remove obstacles like toys and cables.
- Do not move the base station after the floor plan is created.
3.4 Set Up No-Go Zone and No Mop Zone
Use the eufy app to set "No-Go Zones" or "No Mop Zones" to restrict the robot's movement or mopping in specific areas. This eliminates the need for physical boundary strips.
3.5 Schedule Cleaning
Schedule cleaning times via the eufy app. You can set specific times and customize cleaning schedules from Sunday to Saturday.
3.6 Select a Cleaning Mode
Start, pause, or select cleaning modes via the eufy app.
- 3.6.1 Home Cleaning Mode: The robot cleans edges first, then navigates in a Z-shaped pattern for comprehensive coverage. It returns to the station automatically upon completion. Press the power button on the robot to pause.
- 3.6.2 Room Cleaning: The robot cleans selected rooms based on the map created in the app. Customize room settings in the app.
- 3.6.3 Zone Cleaning: Set up and customize a cleaning zone in the app. The robot cleans only the selected zone.
3.7 Select a Suction Power Level
Choose from Quiet, Standard, Turbo, or Max suction power levels in the eufy app. The robot will use the last selected setting. The BoostIQ™™ feature automatically increases suction on carpets for better cleaning.
4. Using the Mopping System
Start cleaning via the app. The robot will vacuum and mop. You can select between two water levels (Low/High) in the app. "Vacuum Only" and "Mop Only" modes are also available.
Regularly empty and clean the dirty water tank to prevent odors. Refer to the "Cleaning and Maintenance" section for details.
5. Using the Robot with Amazon Alexa / The Google Assistant
Control the robot using voice commands with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant.
- Ensure the robot is charged and connected to the eufy app.
- You need an Amazon Alexa-enabled device (e.g., Echo, Echo Dot) or Google Assistant-enabled device (e.g., Google Home).
- Install the Amazon Alexa or Google Home app and create an account.
- In the eufy app, go to Profile > Smart Integrations and follow the on-screen instructions to link your accounts.
6. Enabling / Disabling Child Safety Lock
Press and hold the recharge button for 3 seconds to activate the child safety lock. All buttons on the robot will be locked. Press and hold the recharge button for 3 seconds again to disable it. This function is also available in the eufy app.
