The compact MagniFi One sound bar system, featuring VoiceAdjust™ technology, installs in minutes, connects wirelessly with simple setup, and delivers a wide, enveloping soundstage. TV broadcasts, concerts, movies, and games will sound so much better, you'll quickly realize you can't live without it.

Connecting the MagniFi One to Your TV
For optimal performance, position the MagniFi One sound bar:
- Directly below your TV, in front of the TV stand.
- On the wall, directly above or below your wall-mounted TV. Use the keyhole-shaped mounting plate and a level to ensure the installation is properly leveled. For drywall mounting, use anchor points.
The MagniFi One sound bar can accept audio input from three wired sources (Optical, Aux, and USB) and one Bluetooth source.
The highest quality audio connection is also the simplest. Use the supplied Toslink optical audio connector to link your TV's optical audio output to the optical audio input on the rear of the MagniFi One sound bar. If your TV does not have an optical audio output, you can use the optical connection from your DVD or Blu-Ray player, or your cable/satellite box.
Alternatively, you can use the supplied analog stereo cable to connect your TV to the MagniFi One sound bar. Connect the red/white RCA audio connection to the corresponding red/white audio output on your TV, and the 3.5 mm connector to the corresponding input on the rear of the MagniFi One sound bar.
Rear Panel Connections (Sound Bar):
- 1. Power Input: Connect the power cable here. The sound bar remains in standby mode at all times. Audio Input: USB.
- 2. Audio Inputs: Optical, Analog/AUX.
- 3. SYNC: The SYNC button verifies communication between the sound bar and the wireless subwoofer.
Connecting the Wireless Subwoofer
The included MagniFi One wireless subwoofer is designed for simple setup. It automatically receives the wireless signal from the sound bar. You can position the wireless subwoofer anywhere in the room (within 30 feet [9.14 m] of the sound bar), even inside an audio cabinet, as long as a power outlet is available. The combination is optimal when the subwoofer is positioned at the front of the room, to the left or right of the sound bar.
To connect the wireless subwoofer to the MagniFi One system, simply plug it into a mains power outlet. It will power on automatically.
If the wireless subwoofer is not receiving the audio signal, follow these instructions to re-establish the connection:
- Unplug the subwoofer.
- Press and hold the SYNC button on the rear of the MagniFi One sound bar for three seconds.
- On the bar, the SYNC button's light will begin to flash green rapidly (3 times/second until pairing or timeout), indicating the bar and subwoofer are ready to connect.
- Plug the subwoofer back into the mains power outlet. It will power on automatically. When the subwoofer's light is solid green, the bar and subwoofer are reconnected, and you are finished.
Subwoofer Status Light Codes:
- a. Off: Subwoofer is off.
- b. Flashing Green: Subwoofer is searching for the bar.
- c. Solid Green: Subwoofer is connected to the bar.
- d. Solid Red: Subwoofer is not connected to the bar.
- e. Flashing Red: Subwoofer is in protection mode.
Subwoofer Power Connection:
- 1. Power Input: Connect the subwoofer's power cord here. This is the only cable you need.

SmartBar™ IR Remote Learning
Configure your TV's infrared remote for SmartBar™ learning.
For your sound bar to respond to your TV's remote, you MUST FIRST program it to respond to your TV's original infrared remote. This does not work with RF (radio frequency) remotes. Other remotes (cable, satellite) may work once you have programmed the bar to respond to the TV's infrared remote.
Note: The first and third LEDs, followed by the second and fourth LEDs, will flash in pairs three times if learning fails. The bar will exit learning mode after several unsuccessful attempts to learn an infrared command. Follow steps 1-3 below carefully.
- Enter learning mode by holding the Source button for 3 seconds.
- Press the Volume Up button.
- Press the corresponding function on your remote control; the four LEDs should flash white before gradually turning off, indicating the command has been learned.
Programming Instructions
The sound bar is programmed to respond to the remote control included with the product. However, we strongly recommend programming the sound bar to also respond to your existing remote control by following the steps below. This will allow you to control all your devices with a single remote.
During sound bar programming, ignore any messages that may appear on your TV screen.
Example Learning: To teach your bar your remote's "Volume Up" command:
- The sound bar is on, the LED is dimly lit white, and the bar emits a sound.
- Press and hold the SOURCE/LEARN button for 3 seconds. LEDs 1-4 on the bar will light up once in ascending order.
- Press the Volume Up button on the MagniFi One.
- Hold the original TV remote 6 inches to 1 foot (15 to 30 cm) from the front of the sound bar.
- Press the Volume Up button on the TV's infrared remote once.
- The LEARN LEDs will become solid; the command is learned. Two beeps confirm the command has been learned.
Repeat steps 1-6 to program the Volume Down (-), Source, Mute, and Power buttons.
NOTE: Recording your TV's infrared remote commands Once you have programmed all commands onto the TV remote, press and hold the Source button for 3 seconds to initiate the learning function. This records all commands.
Note: If the sound bar fails to learn certain infrared remote codes, the power LED will flash red three times. Try clearing any previously programmed codes (see below) and repeat steps 1-6 above.
Clearing Codes Procedure
If you have programmed your sound bar to respond to a remote but no longer wish to use it, clear the codes by pressing the SOURCE button for approximately 10 seconds while the unit is in standby. The first LED will flash green, then white. Once this sequence has repeated three times, you will know the previously learned codes have been erased.
Note: This procedure erases ALL remote control programming for the bar. If you only need to change programming for specific buttons on the bar, follow the six steps in the sequence given previously to re-program an existing setup. The sound bar will continue to respond to the included remote in all cases.
Bluetooth Operation
Bluetooth technology makes it easy to instantly access your digital audio library from a smartphone or Bluetooth-enabled device. Select Bluetooth as the source by pressing the Bluetooth button on the front of the MagniFi One or on the remote control. When you select the Bluetooth source, the following sequence repeats until a connection is made:
- Three white LEDs flash.
- The speaker attempts to connect to the last connected Bluetooth device, or
- The speaker enters "discovery" mode to pair and/or connect with any Bluetooth device (after 10 minutes, the system goes into standby).
Regardless of the active source (other than Bluetooth), the speaker is always in discovery mode and ready to connect to a previously paired device when the system is on.
Note: When pairing/activating Bluetooth on a Bluetooth device, the speakers will select the Bluetooth source even if another source (USB, AUX) has already been selected.
Note: The last connected Bluetooth device will connect when the Bluetooth source is selected.
When Bluetooth is connected, the three white LEDs will light up solid, then fade, and a rising tone will sound.
The sound bar will disconnect and enter discovery mode for 10 minutes in the following cases:
- Pressing the Bluetooth button.
- Disconnecting the device from the Bluetooth source.
When Bluetooth is disconnected:
- When the speaker disconnects, a descending tone is emitted.
- When the speaker disconnects, the LED will become brighter for two seconds, stay solid for two seconds, then become dimmer for two seconds, and so on.
- If you press the Source button on the speaker, the source will change to Aux/Analog.
- When the speaker exits standby mode while in Bluetooth source mode but the Bluetooth device is disconnected, the speaker will enter discovery mode.
