Connecting the MagniFi One to Your TV
For optimal performance, mount the sound bar directly under your TV or on the wall above or below a wall-mounted TV. Use a level and anchors if mounting in drywall.
The sound bar accepts audio input from two wired sources (Optical, Aux) and one wireless source (Bluetooth).
For the highest quality audio, use the included Toslink Optical Audio Connector to connect the TV's Optical Audio output to the sound bar's Optical Audio input. If your TV lacks an optical output, you can use this connection with a DVD/Blu-Ray player or cable/satellite box.
Alternatively, use the included Analog Stereo Cable to connect your TV's red/white RCA audio output to the corresponding input on the sound bar, and connect the 3.5mm connector to the sound bar's rear panel input.
Sound Bar Button Controls
The sound bar features several buttons on its top panel:
- Power (⚙️): Turns the bar "on" or puts it in standby mode.
- Source/Learn (?️): Puts the bar into "learning mode" for TV remote programming. Cycles through input sources: Source 1 (Digital/Optical), Source 2 (Analog/AUX), Source 3 (USB), Source 4 (Bluetooth).
- Master Volume Up/Down (?➕ / ?➖): Adjusts the main volume of the sound bar.
- VoiceAdjust Volume Up/Down (?️➕ / ?️➖): Increases or decreases the volume of dialogue and voice reproduction.

Sound Bar Rear Panel Connections
The rear panel of the sound bar includes:
- 1. Power Connection: Connect the power cable here. The sound bar remains in "standby" mode.
- 2. Audio Inputs: Optical and Analog/AUX ports.
- 3. SYNC: The SYNC button ensures communication between the sound bar and the wireless subwoofer.
Wireless Subwoofer
Connecting the Wireless Subwoofer
The MagniFi One wireless subwoofer is designed for easy setup and automatically receives its wireless signal from the sound bar. Place the subwoofer anywhere in your room within 30 feet of the sound bar, ensuring access to an AC outlet. Optimal blending is achieved when placed at the front of the room.
To connect, simply plug the subwoofer into a nearby AC outlet; it will turn on automatically.
Re-establishing Connection
If the wireless subwoofer stops receiving an audio signal, follow these steps:
- Unplug the subwoofer.
- Press and hold the SYNC button on the back of the MagniFi One sound bar for three seconds. The LED next to the SYNC button will blink green rapidly.
- Plug the subwoofer back into the AC outlet. It will turn ON automatically.
- When the subwoofer LED turns solid green, the bar and subwoofer are re-connected.
Subwoofer Panel & Status Lights
The subwoofer has a power connection and status lights:
- 1. Power Connection: Plug the subwoofer power cord in here.
Subwoofer Status Light Code:
- Off: The subwoofer is OFF.
- Flashing Green: The subwoofer is searching for the sound bar.
- Solid Green: The subwoofer is connected with the sound bar.
- Solid Red: The subwoofer is not connected with the sound bar.
- Flashing Red: The subwoofer is in protection mode.
VoiceAdjust™ Technology
VoiceAdjust Technology allows you to control dialogue volume independently. Use the VoiceAdjust buttons on the remote or sound bar to increase or decrease dialogue reproduction without affecting the overall master volume. This technology enhances details in low-volume or poorly mixed audio material.
Remote Control
The included remote control operates the sound bar:
- Power (⚙️): Turns the sound bar "on" or puts it in standby mode. The far left LED on the sound bar is white when powered on.
- Night Effect: Instantly reduces master volume and bass impact, and increases voice channel reproduction for low-volume listening. The far right LED on the sound bar is purple when activated.
- Mute (?): Mutes and unmutes the sound. The far left LED on the sound bar flashes when mute is on.
Source Selectors
- Opt 1: Optical source connection.
- Aux 2: Analog/AUX source connection.
- Bluetooth pairing: Instant pairing.

SmartBar IR Remote Learning
Set Up Your TV's IR Remote Control For SmartBar™ Learning
To make your sound bar respond to your TV's original remote control, you must first program the bar to respond to your television's original IR (Infra-Red) remote. RF (Radio Frequency) remotes will not work. Other remotes (cable, satellite) will work only after the TV's IR remote is programmed.
Note: If learning fails, the first and third LEDs, followed by the second and fourth LEDs, will flash in pairs three times. The bar exits learn mode after several unsuccessful attempts.
Programming Instructions
Your sound bar is programmed to respond to its included remote. However, programming it to respond to your existing TV remote allows you to operate all components with a single remote.
Teaching Example: To teach your bar the “Volume Up” command:
- Ensure the sound bar is on and producing sound.
- Press and hold the "SOURCE/LEARN" button for 3 seconds. LEDs 1-4 will pulse.
- Press and release the "Volume Up" button on the MagniFi One.
- Hold your TV's original remote 6-12 inches from the front of the sound bar.
- Press the "Volume Up" button on your TV's IR remote control once.
- LEARN LEDs turn solid, and two chimes confirm the command has been learned.
Repeat these steps to program "Volume Down" (➖), Source, Mute, and Power buttons.
NOTE: Saving your TV's IR remote commands: After programming all commands, hold down the Source button for 3 seconds to save them.
Code Erasing Procedure
To erase all learned IR codes, press the SOURCE key for approximately 10 seconds while the unit is in standby mode. The first LED will flash green, then white, repeating three times. This indicates all previously learned codes have been successfully erased.
Note: This procedure removes ALL programming. To change specific buttons, redo the programming sequence.
Bluetooth Operation
Bluetooth technology allows instant access to your digital audio library from any smart phone or Bluetooth device. Select Bluetooth as the source by pressing the Bluetooth button on the sound bar or remote.
The following sequence occurs until a connection is completed:
- Three white LEDs will flash.
- The speaker attempts to connect to the last connected Bluetooth device, or enters "discovery mode" to be available for pairing. (After 10 minutes, the system goes into standby mode.)
Regardless of the active source, the speaker remains in discovery mode for previously paired devices while the system is on.
When Bluetooth is connected, three white LEDs shine solidly, then dim, with an ascending tone.
Disconnecting Bluetooth
The sound bar disconnects and enters "discovery mode" for 10 minutes when:
- The BT button is pressed and released.
- The Bluetooth source device disconnects.
When Bluetooth is disconnected:
- A descending tone sounds.
- The LED brightens for two seconds, remains steady bright for two seconds, then dims for two seconds, repeating this sequence.
- Pressing the source button switches the source to Aux/Analog.
- If the speaker wakes from sleep mode in Bluetooth source mode with the device disconnected, it will enter discovery mode.
