IKEA Česká republika, s. r. o., part of the IKEA Group, offers customers furniture and a wide range of home accessories, including services, in its stores. For this purpose, IKEA Česká republika, s. r. o., with its registered office at Skandinávská 131/1, Třebonice, 155 00 Praha 5, Tax ID: 27081052, registered in the Commercial Register maintained by the Municipal Court in Prague, Section C, File 94828 (hereinafter referred to as the "Company"), issues these General Terms and Conditions (hereinafter referred to as "GTC") for the provision of services to customers, which govern the basic terms and conditions for the provision of individual services. These GTC for the Removal Service are effective from February 18, 2025, and replace the previous version. The Company reserves the right to amend and supplement these GTC for the Removal Service at its own discretion. Amendments or supplements to these GTC will not apply to service orders placed before the effective date of such amendment or supplement. These GTC are governed by Act No. 89/2012 Coll., the Civil Code, and are an inseparable part of any Contract for the Removal of Old Furniture concluded between the Company and its customers concerning goods purchased from the Company (hereinafter referred to as the "Customer"). By signing a service order (hereinafter referred to as an "Order"), the Customer confirms that they have been acquainted with its content and accepts it without reservation. Based on the Order, the Company and the Customer enter into a Contract for Work for the realization of the Removal of Old Furniture (hereinafter referred to as "Removal").
Service Partner
The transport for all IKEA stores in the Czech Republic is provided by the Company's contractual partner, Hral, s.r.o. (hereinafter referred to as the "Delivery Company").
Customer Declaration
The Customer acknowledges that the Company is the exclusive distributor of the IKEA product range in the Czech Republic and is not authorized to sell or distribute the IKEA product range for resale or rental by the Customer to third parties (in a wholesale capacity), either in the Czech Republic or abroad. By paying for an order, the Customer confirms and declares that the IKEA product range purchased is exclusively for their own use, that they are the end-user of the goods purchased from the Company, and that these goods will not be subject to the Customer's business, particularly through resale or rental to third parties.
Removal Service Order and Preparation of Goods for Transport
The Removal service is provided based on the Customer's Order. The Customer is bound by the Order upon acceptance of the Removal price. The Customer is the owner of the goods. By placing a Removal Order, the Company undertakes to ensure the Removal of the Customer's old furniture (hereinafter referred to as the "Shipment"). In the order, the customer provides necessary contact information for successful transportation: name, surname, telephone number, pickup address, quantity and name of transported goods, and optionally an email address. The customer also agrees/chooses the Removal date. The Removal date for old furniture is the same as the delivery date for purchased goods. This service can only be used when purchasing new furniture at IKEA, and the number of products purchased must match the number of items to be removed.
Goods Preparation
The Delivery Company will take over the Shipment intended for removal from the Customer at the pickup location based on the order. The Shipment must be disassembled, properly packaged, and prepared for Removal. If the Shipment is not packaged, the Delivery Company may refuse to accept it. For the removal of electrical appliances, such appliances must be disconnected from electricity, water, or waste sources and properly prepared for Removal. The goods are intended for disposal.
Service Price
The Service Price is listed in the current service price lists available in stores and on the Company's website at www.IKEA.cz.
Payment Terms

The Customer may pay the purchase price online using a payment card, IKEA gift card, IKEA refund card, or a simplified bank transfer. The Company will prepare the goods for collection only after the full purchase price has been credited to the Company's account. All prices of goods are final and include VAT and other applicable charges. The Company reserves the right to make changes to the online shop, including purchase prices. Prices for promotional, clearance, or flyer offer goods displayed at www.IKEA.cz are valid for the specified number of items, for a specified period, or until stocks run out. The purchase price is valid at the time of ordering. If goods included in an order are offered at a discounted price by the selected store at the time of ordering, any overpayment will be refunded to the payment card or bank account used for the original payment. IKEA staff may contact the customer if there are any payment issues.
Brick-and-Mortar Store
The Customer pays the price of the Service upon its provision on the day of ordering. Payment can be made in cash, by payment card, IKEA gift card, IKEA refund card, payment link, consumer credit, or via an IKEA for Business account transfer.
Shipment Collection and Transport
The Company arranges for the Removal of the Shipment through the Delivery Company. The date and time of collection are specified in the Removal Order. The Customer is obliged to ensure the handover of disassembled and properly packaged goods within this timeframe. In the case of delivery services involving bringing new goods into the home, the customer must ensure sufficient space in the entrance, apartment, and corridors for safe transport of the Shipment. If the service order specifies "Delivery to the first lockable door," the customer must prepare the furniture for removal at that location. Delivery Company employees are required to comply with all occupational safety regulations, including the use of appropriate work tools and footwear.
Customer Obligations during Collection
The Delivery Company is obliged to thoroughly check the Shipment upon taking it over from the Customer, verifying the number of pieces and the condition of the Shipment. The Customer must be present during this inspection. Both the Customer and the Delivery Company will confirm the accuracy of the Shipment in the transport document via their signatures, indicating that the correct number of items has been received. If the Shipment is incomplete or the quantity of goods does not match, the Delivery Company will note this in the transport document. The carrier may refuse to remove the goods if there is a discrepancy in the number of items ordered versus delivered, or if the goods are not prepared according to requirements. The Company is not responsible for delays in the removal date caused by the provision of incomplete customer contact details.
Termination Fee
The Customer may withdraw from the Removal contract and cancel the Removal. If the Customer withdraws less than 24 hours before the scheduled Removal date, they are obliged to pay the Company a termination fee equal to the price of the Removal. If the Customer requests a repeated Removal, they must pay the Removal price again according to the Company's price list.
