Product Features

The HoMedics Body Weight Scale features an LED display, a unit selection button, and a battery compartment.

Preparing Your Scale

1. Open the battery compartment on the scale's underside.
2. Insert the supplied batteries, observing the polarity signs (+ and -) inside the compartment.
3. Close the battery compartment.
4. Select your desired weight mode (lb, kg, or st lb) by pressing the units button on the underside of the scale.
5. Position the scale on a firm, flat surface.
6. To set up the scale, briefly step on and then off the platform, allowing the display to set to zero. Your scale is now ready for use.
7. If you move the scale between weighings, repeat the setup process in step 6 before the next use.

Using Your Scale

1. Step on the scale and stand still while it computes your weight.
2. After a few seconds, the display will flash 3 times and show your weight reading.
3. Step off. Your weight will continue to be displayed for a few more seconds before the scale switches off.

Warning Indicators

• 'Lo' is displayed when batteries are low.
• 'Err' is displayed when the weight limit is exceeded.

Advice for Use and Care

• Always weigh yourself on the same scale placed on the same floor surface. Do not compare weight readings from one scale to another, as some differences will exist due to manufacturing tolerances.
• Placing your scale on a hard, even floor will ensure the greatest accuracy and repeatability.
• Weigh yourself at the same time each day, before meals and without footwear. First thing in the morning is a good time.
• Your scale rounds up or down to the nearest increment. If you weigh yourself twice and get two different readings, your weight lies between the two.
• Clean your scale with a damp cloth. Do not use chemical cleaning agents.
• Do not allow your scale to become saturated with water, as this can damage the electronics.

Troubleshooting Guide

If you experience any difficulty in the use of your scale:

• Check that the battery is correctly fitted.
• Check that you have selected your preference of stones/pounds, kilograms, or pounds.
• Check that the scale is on a flat, level floor and not touching against a wall.
• If, when you use the scale, there is no display at all, replace the batteries.

Important Safety Instructions

• Keep batteries away from children.
• Keep the scale dry and away from water. Do not step onto the glass with wet feet, as it will be a slip hazard.
• DO NOT jump on the scale, or stand on the outer edge of the platform, which could cause it to tip.
• DO NOT use the scale if the glass appears cracked or broken.
• DO NOT overload the scale beyond its stated capacity.
• This product is intended for personal monitoring only and should not be used for treating or diagnosing any medical conditions.

FKA Brands Ltd guarantees this product from defect in material and workmanship for a period of 3 years from the date of purchase, except as noted below. A product that requires modification or adaptation to enable it to operate in any country other than the country for which it was designed, manufactured, approved and/or authorized, or repair of products damaged by these modifications is not covered under this guarantee. FKA Brands Ltd shall not be responsible for any type of incidental, consequential or special damages.

To obtain guarantee service on your product, return the product post-paid to your local service centre along with your dated sales receipt (as proof of purchase). Upon receipt, FKA Brands Ltd will repair or replace, as appropriate, your product and return it to you, post-paid. Guarantee is solely through HoMedics Service Centre. Service of this product by anyone other than the HoMedics Service Centre voids the guarantee. This guarantee does not affect your statutory rights.

This product is a sensitive electronic instrument and as such may temporarily be affected by Radio Transmitting Devices being used in close proximity to it (such as Mobile Phones, Walkie Talkies, CB Radios, Radio Model Controllers, and some Microwave Ovens, etc.). Additionally, extreme levels of Electrostatic Interference may cause this product to temporarily malfunction. In such case it may be necessary to remove and re-install the battery to re-establish normal working. If the problem persists then contact your local agent.
