Notes on Adhesive Application

A clean, dry surface is essential for proper performance for any adhesive system. The area intended for application of any adhesive label or nameplate must be prepared by cleaning with isopropyl alcohol. Solvent is to be applied with a clean, lint-free applicator and surface allowed to dry before applying the label or nameplate.

Component Parts List

This section details the component parts for the Milwaukee M18 Inflator, model 2848-20. The diagram on page 1 illustrates an exploded view of the inflator, showing the relative positions of various components, including the pump, motor, housing parts, control panel, and hose assembly. Small component parts are included when ordering the assembly (large #).

Wiring Instructions

Connecting Wires to Pump and Motor

Step 1: Screw the NTC black wire to the pump terminal.

Step 2: Screw the NTC white wire to the motor terminal.

Step 3: Crimp the motor black wire and the PCB black wire together using a close end connector.

Step 4: Crimp the motor red wire and the PCB red wire together using a close end connector.

Connecting Wires to PCBA

Step 5: Insert the black NTC terminal into the designated slot on the PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly).

Step 6: Insert the white NTC terminal into the designated slot on the PCBA.

Step 7: Insert the black and red fan terminals into the designated slots on the PCBA.

Wire Routing and Reassembly Notes

Wire Placement:

Place the black NTC wires into the wire traps within the housing.
Place the red and black fan wires into the wire traps within the housing.
Place the white NTC wires into the wire traps within the housing.
Place the red and black motor wires into the wire traps within the housing.
Place close end connectors down into the cavity area.

Reassembly Guidance:

As an aid to reassembly, take notice of wire routings and position in wire guides and traps while dismantling the tool.
Ensure that all components of the electronics kit are seated firmly and squarely in housing recesses.
Avoid pinched wires; ensure that all wires and sleeves are pressed completely down in wire traps.
Prior to securing the housing cover onto the housing support, ensure that there are no interferences.
Before installing the battery, check for proper functionality of shuttles and triggers.
Install the battery and depress the switch triggers to assure the tool is operating properly.
