Notes:
- Prior to installing a new service nameplate, apply isopropyl alcohol to the handle cover with a clean, lint-free applicator and allow it to dry.
- To remove the spring pin from the handle halves and switch paddle, use a thin blunt punch with the same outer diameter as the pin, or a similar tool like a finishing nail with the same outer diameter and the pointed tip ground down. As an aid, prop up the corner end of the ratchet to support the tapping out of the spring pin. When reinstalling the pin, align the holes and carefully press or tap the pin into place.
Wiring Instructions
Note: Wires of the electronics assembly (104) are routed in traps and cavities in the right handle halve (19).
Replacing the Electronics Assembly (104):
- Remove five T-10 handle screws (18) from the right handle halve (19) and two T-10 handle/gear case screws (16) from the right handle halve.
- Gently turn the tool over and remove two T-10 handle/gear case screws (16) from the left handle halve.
- Carefully remove the left handle halve to expose the electronics assembly.
- Use a hex key to remove the three socket head screws (14) and slide the stator/rotor/motor mount plate out of the yoke housing assembly (31).
Assembly Steps for Electronics:
- Place the electronics assembly into the housing support. Install the LED lens as shown.
- Assemble the control board into the housing slot.
- Assemble the on-off switch into the housing cavity.
- Place the HV wire into the wire trap.
